She was a stalwart of Parliamentary UK-Swiss Group and great fun in ski race week. Everyone liked her. Very sorry to hear of her death. Condolences I am sure from many Labour colleagues of her generation @LordCourtown

I'm heartbroken to hear the desperately sad news that my colleague Cheryl Gillan has passed away. She had been a great source of strength as we went through chemo together. When she told me she was dying I told her all the nice things I would say so she knew...1/

Really sorry to hear this news - James was a great man.

James passed away last night after a long illness, peacefully and at home with loved ones. He embraced every aspect of life, and lived his to the full. He was a great man, and a dear friend to many. James will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
