@noBSvilla Revenue wise. They have the foundations to be successful, hence they can freely spend, their issue has been poor choices. Like other members of the Sky 6 they’ll be able to spend their way back up the table.

The club is stuck. We weren’t successful during the global booming of the PL (Arsenal, Liverpool & Man United). The league no longer allows manufacturing success (Chelsea & City). Only option is Spurs route but most would hate to lose the club’s traditional values. #avfc

I think Villa could have done better recruitment. Sure. But i watch the margins in these games and see United with £65m Sesko (on the bench), £65m Mbeumo, £65m Cunha; all summer recruitments. After finishing 16th, with no Europe, losing the EL final. We’re dwarfed by revenue.

What a bizarre season. Aug - Sep - worst team in the PL Oct - Dec - best team in the PL Jan - Mar - worst team in the PL Whatever happens next, I think we can agree this current crop of players is declining. Major rebuild required without being allowed to spend. Should be fun.

Must say the difference in coverage of both VAR decisions was bizarre. For the Villa goal we had different angles and 2 minutes of analysis. The Chelsea goal got no repeats, was decided in 30 seconds and we then got a very ‘definitive’ image over a minute later. #avfc
