@viZGIVgz @CardsMax Same here. With Pokemon I was used to trading market for market. When I got back into it last year, I was surprised that marketplace sellers were doing percentages too. I put some cards to sell and dudes were saying they would buy it at 70%. My LCS gives me 85.

@CardsMax On one hand ig if you put your whole future in being a vendor I get it on the other hand I barely ever need money and just want to trade for fun which is why I buy everything in cash and barely interact with vendors would rather trade w friends who aren't stingy

It still surprises me how many people feel that a dealer is obligated to pay like a collector When the seller is the one that needs cash

Lists card on eBay, buyer buys it, I get 87%. Lists card on Facebook, 10 people ask for more pictures, some of the surface in better light, some of the back, some of the corners, none offer over 90%. I know people complain about eBay fees but tbh I’d pay 13% to be left alone.

This is why people leave the hobby. I haven’t even touched a single Ascended Heroes product yet. “UgH dOn’T hAtE tHe PlAyEr, hAtE tHe GaMe” “sKiLl IsSuE bRo” My job keeps me from being able to hit restocks. I love the hobby, but shiny cardboard is not enough of a reason to make a drastic life decision by leaving a stress free job while I work on starting my own business. So no, it’s not a skill issue, and yes, I will very much dislike people who take way more than they should in order to take advantage, rip off, and essentially steal from other people. This hobby may not cool down for a long time, but there are certainly measures Pokemon and retailers can take to curb this kind of activity, and they aren’t.
