@GoldenDude8 I'm going based on what the mother posted. She went through her son's items when he was only there for two days out of the week. He doesn't trust her, else he'd communicate more, and she doesn't trust him if she went through his things despite him asking her not to. 1/2
So… I have a 15-year-old son who, by his own choice, lives with his dad and only comes to stay with me on weekends. He came over on Friday, and when I was unpacking his backpack I found a bunch of these things inside. Does anyone know what this is? He completely avoids the subject and is super closed off with me. Please help 😭
@GoldenDude8 And then the mother wonders why the son doesn't visit. And of course, blames the dad, so she takes him to court. Then she's out thousands of dollars, and visitation with her son because she doesn't trust him. How do you think a judge would feel about a teenager with no privacy?
@GoldenDude8 It's also the parents' job to make sure the child can trust them to discuss things, such as drug abuse. However, whenever a parent goes through their items when they are already only there for 48 hours out of a week, that trust will be broken, resulting in no contact from the son
@NCPPGPilot "It's because she does not trust nor give me privacy the two days a week I visit her" and that right there is how the Dad will be given full custody. So congratulations on proving my point. ^^
@HeavenLeeMade You mean they should know better than asking their mother to respect their boundaries, the whole two days a week their there? Cool, it is your house. Without your kid. "Hey dad, mom went through my stuff despite me telling her not to. I don't think I wanna go back with no trust."
@GoldenDude8@NCPPGPilot Except the kid wouldn't be happy. This is how the parent would lose visitation rights with their kid. "Hey dad, mom went through my stuff instead of believing me. I already didn't trust her, but I don't think I wanna go back there anymore."
@Robbiemeep Awesome! Then you'll have lost visitation rights with your son for your two days a week, since it isn't drugs, and you've lost your trust in your kid instead of believing them. 👍🏻
@NCPPGPilot That's awesome! However, this post is referring to a mother who isn't the sole parent of her son and then went through his belongings against his will. Whether you like it or not, that child would then tell his dad and ask not to go back to the home where he isn't trusted.
@Lord_Panda28 I had sole custody for all 18 years and now a Grandpa of a well adjusted teenager. In my house, there is no such thing as privacy, they all know it and agree to the terms. So much for that theory. 😉
@HeavenLeeMade And that's how your 2 days out of 7 go to 0. Congratulations! Now you get to spend thousands in court funds, only for the judge to take into account the nearly adult man's request to stay only with his father, due to his mother not respecting his privacy.
@Arma_Lite_14 I'm sorry you're going tru this, if this is real & not engagement farming. In my house? rule #1 "IT'S MY HOUSE" If I find anything sus in MY HOUSE? you WILL have that convo with me or I'm taking what I find down to the nearest Police station . PERIOD end of.
Don't care.

@Arma_Lite_14 The rule in my house is simple: if you can’t give a proper explanation, I’ll call a friend to bring in a drug dog. If you can’t explain it, I’ll be making that call.

@Milia_6456@Arma_Lite_14 I’ll go through my
Kids bag and phone and drawers anytime I want to. There no privacy in my home. That’s your job as a parent. Protection. Respect
To privacy is earned as they grow but not entitled

@Milia_6456@Arma_Lite_14 Hey Millia, teens don’t get privacy, they hide shit and also they are actually mentally stunted until their adult brains fully develop at age 25. THEY ARE STUPID and follow the stupid pack. Teens that get privacy get pregnant, bring in drugs and smoke in their rooms.

@Milia_6456@Arma_Lite_14 This is an example of modern parenting. Now from the perspective of an old-school parent: Parenting is not a democracy, but rather a dictatorship. If I paid for it, it's mine & on loan. If I inquire, I had better get an honest answer. Playing two ends to the middle ain't happen'n

@Milia_6456@Arma_Lite_14 bullshit, my kids do not get the privilege of having things without my knowledge. You are either a shitty parent or don't have kid's.
