This is much of my Slann army I intend to use in WFB 3rd edition. It's missing a regiment of Alligator warriors I haven't based yet. And I can put together 2 more regiments of Cold One riders and 3 Slann mages on palanquins + a customised war altar... 1/2

Hey @nick_bayton , @warhammer and the #WarhammerCommunity … I need help! I’m sure I remember a white dwarf cover or artwork somewhere of Ultramrines 5th company fighting next to a predator tank. Inspired my army scheme! But can’t find it anywhere! Any ideas???

@sann0638 @WarhammerGen No-one plays against stunty teams anymore, they play against Inducements and Stars.

@sann0638 @WarhammerGen When you stop thinking of a stunty opponent as a 'should win' game and start dreading them as a "what set of unfun inducements or combos will they use", that's when enjoying the game starts to go out the window for the sake of someone elses 'fun'

Am I alone in thinking that the new Gnome team for Blood Bowl is terrible? warhammer-community.com/2024/03/02/war… I don’t think they look like BB players at all and adding animals into the game is a complete mess for me. I would never guess this is a BB team if shown the minis out of context.

@Lore_Of_Nuffle @pfwgames There’s too much soft and cute stuff, I’m not really sure who this is aimed at. There does seem to be a lot of ppl who like the minis but they largely don’t seem to play BB. I would much rather have seen a Squig team if we are adding new teams.

@ZombieWWZ @NAF_89_90 @WarhammerGen @pfwgames Also yes, I wonder if the models were test pieces or sculpted for fun by someone in the studio so it was then easier to just push a team out as I can't imagine anyone thinking "Nah, No High Elves, Chaos Dwarves or Tomb Kings - We want Gnomes!"

@ZombieWWZ @BloodBowlWFC1 I wouldn't say it's worse, art is always subjective. It just no longer fits my memory of the game. It's gone from 11v11 psychopaths in spiky kits, to bugs, boars, badgers, baked goods bombs and rule bloat with art that doesn't tick the box for me. It's still Blood Bowl though

Art changes and sometimes you need a new identity. But even with the Warhammery style of 3rd edition and now after eight years I still can't get into the Twee style of new #BloodBowl art. I miss my sport-punk even if it's been more time without than with... #oldhammer #fantasyart

@WarhammerGen @pfwgames I think this is it, to me and I know this is a product of growing up with 1st and 2nd edition Blood Bowl but the aesthetic is 'sport punk' as epitomised by Pete Knifton. From BB2016 it's all gone a bit twee and I'm not sure I like it.

@pfwgames Yeah. It’s the aesthetic that puts me off of them. Make them looks like sports Gnomes in shoulder pads and helmets and I would welcome them. They are very cute minis, just not BB at all. And please let’s not keep adding animals to teams 😞

@WarhammerGen Interesting they finally have an official team. They go way back in the lore. Shortstuff Scurriers have a ‘Did You Know’ about how they quit in shame because of how useless they were.
