@ZombieWWZ @Lore_Of_Nuffle @NAF_89_90 @pfwgames I was thinking this too. A dedicated Hobgoblin team (no matter who plays them they must always be called The Hobgoblin team) would have been very on brand for BB.

Am I alone in thinking that the new Gnome team for Blood Bowl is terrible? warhammer-community.com/2024/03/02/war… I don’t think they look like BB players at all and adding animals into the game is a complete mess for me. I would never guess this is a BB team if shown the minis out of context.

@sann0638 @Lore_Of_Nuffle I really dislike playing Snotlings (another team that doesn’t feel right in it current form) and Gnoblars. I feel they are actually overpowered for their cost. Titchy as a rule needs changing.

@Lore_Of_Nuffle @WarhammerGen this is the key with stunties. They are supposed to be rubbish. One win all weekend is a triumph. But it's not the way with flings and snotlings now, or ogres with stars. Goblins still terrible.

@littlebirdnoise That would have been amazing! I would have been all over the team if that was their design.

@WarhammerGen I would definitely have preferred a bit more BB aesthetic or, failing that, a bit of old British football style might’ve been funny; long shorts, football boots and socks, knobbly knees, short sleeved collared shirts, scarves. The shepherd’s crooks are odd.

@sann0638 The rules are ultimately what counts. We can always find or convert models to suit personal tastes. I do hope the rules are great and make for a properly fun and unique team.

I was quite enjoying this release but this is a good point. A real low point for blood bowl miniatures was that point in 3rd edition where they just looked like wfb models. And here we are again, sort of. They do look really good though.

@NAF_89_90 I actually forgot about the Shortstuff Scuffiers and just came back here to mention they existed, but you beat me to it. My issue is not with Gnomes but the cute fairytale aesthetic. With a cool 3rd party team they may just be brilliant.

@WarhammerGen Interesting they finally have an official team. They go way back in the lore. Shortstuff Scurriers have a ‘Did You Know’ about how they quit in shame because of how useless they were.

@AndrewBartletta @LewisKernow The sculpts are basic but they really do look the part of a fantasy sports team. There’s no confusing them with anything else.

@Lore_Of_Nuffle @pfwgames There’s too much soft and cute stuff, I’m not really sure who this is aimed at. There does seem to be a lot of ppl who like the minis but they largely don’t seem to play BB. I would much rather have seen a Squig team if we are adding new teams.

@WarhammerGen @pfwgames I think this is it, to me and I know this is a product of growing up with 1st and 2nd edition Blood Bowl but the aesthetic is 'sport punk' as epitomised by Pete Knifton. From BB2016 it's all gone a bit twee and I'm not sure I like it.
