A week ago I wrote some ideas for @Pumpfun to help bring back culture and communities to this space.
Most of my ideas were delusional and not practical at all. I realized later that we can’t expect Pumpfun to implement these changes, because at the end of the day they’re just a launchpad.
It’s not their responsibility to improve the culture, it’s our responsibility as players to improve the culture in this space.
I still think I gave a few good ideas though, and instead of waiting for others to bring change I wanna take responsibility and do my part to make this space better.
This is what I’m gonna try to work on:
Build a cto lead community:
As a cto lead it can be very lonely sometimes. The weight of responsibility is a big pressure and not many can handle it. I realized that there are not many communities for leads where they can ask for help/feedback or brainstorm with experienced leads.
I want to create a community where we can connect, learn and advise each other. This will be a community for solid leads who’re serious about pushing their project longterm. My first step will be to make a tg chat with leads, and we move from there (gonna start small first).
Promote good leads:
In times where almost every dev is a serial farmer or rugger there are barely any good leads left. Imo we’re not giving them enough credit because we don’t even know who they are. All we see is rapers with badges getting all the attention.
We need to stop glazing these cancers to the space and instead give exposure to leads who work and try their best to make the space better. I’m gonna start giving more shoutouts to leads and make a list with solid leads for all of you to follow.
Promote good bagworkers:
From now on I’ll do a weekly top 10 bagworkers post on my account. My goal here is to give exposure to smaller accounts that work relentlessly and really deserve some attention.
Back in the day people supported my bagworking too and it’s only fair for me to return the favor. This could also be a good way to get some attention to their project.
Community cooperations:
One of the biggest problems in this space is that everyone is trying to fight for the limited mindshare. Because of this people tend to be very competitive and talk badly about other projects.
I believe there is a real demand and need for projects to work with each other. Lots of communities reached out to me that they wanted a partnership and I really think we should try harder and be more open minded towards this.
I’d love to see something like pumpfolio where we can make content together with other projects to increase our reach.
We already have a partnership with Juice and Shillz (Both amazing partners), and I’m exploring many different options atm.
Let’s work together as communities and be a countervoice to all FnF farm cabals!
I don’t have any motion or influence, but that shouldn’t be a reason for me to just watch and not do anything.
If we really want to make a change we should look in the mirror and ask ourselves what we could do to make it better.
It’s all our small steps accumulated over time that’s gonna improve the space. Not new tools or features. It’s our willingness to do the right thing, even though it won’t benefit us financially right away.
I have no idea if there is any demand for my ideas btw, I’m no expert and honestly just try my part in making this space a little bit better.
