@jermlikespie If they didn’t say anything at all, people would criticise them as well. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t!

People shitting on the Buffy cast for posting about Nicholas Brendon’s death don’t understand what it means to have cared about someone for many years while also understanding they can turn into someone you don’t know. It doesn’t make their mourning invalid, fake, or in support of the person’s negative actions in life. We really need to teach people what it means to be empathetic and nuanced because I fear we’re losing major components of our humanity here.

@MahiboobAMulla1 @sciencegirl You can get it on the App Store now! I play all the time on my iPad ☺️

@sciencegirl RollerCoaster Tycoon building chaotic parks, accidentally (or intentionally) launching guests off broken coasters, and somehow still ending the year with a profit.

@Charlygotyou I only wear make up for nights out now. I just don’t have the energy to put the effort in daily. Like my face is my face, don’t really care if people don’t like it without makeup or not 🤷🏻♀️

@ah_laylah I mean, yes, she hated him. But she has been through so much. She lost her father, mother and oldest brother. She has no idea if her younger sister and brothers are alive or not. She was betrayed by her aunt. She has no family left. And then she sees her half brother.

@Ln23Jacob @laoisedebrun So you think blackface minstrels were based on black people’s “nature” and not racist over exaggerations and blatant lies, interesting…
English

@LorryBarry @laoisedebrun Am seeing people being mocked "for fun" based on their nature in both case. I suppose you'd say that drag is about "art and freedom" or some BS like that? Then should go both way.

English

Dear Dublin Zoo,
Please explain in plain English how this obese bearded man in a wig and dress relates to me as a mother or my contribution to society “without which the common good could not be achieved”
How far we have fallen in stature to now be denigrated and codified as a mere pantomime dame having once been granted protection and recognition by the drafters of the 1937 Constitution for our tireless work and fierce love which are a lifelong act of service.
It is not funny or edgy or cool. Who are you signalling to? You are insulting the cohort you are trying to attract. And it is the mothers who will discern on this decision like we do always. What a marketing own goal and a slice of pure misogyny masquerading as “fun”.
Paul Treyvaud@PaulTreyvaud
This is an absolute national disgrace. Mothers of Ireland, this is what Dublin Zoo thinks of you. ‘Mammies go free’ for Mother’s Day and this is the picture they use to promote it Who in the name of god signed off on this. They probably think, well everyone will share it so the whole country will be talking about us Perhaps, but not for the right reasons It’ll be interesting to see when they come looking for donations because footfall drops. This is simply beyond disgraceful
English

@LorryBarry @Ln23Jacob @laoisedebrun Explain the difference to us, so.
Man who isn’t black doing a stereotypical performance dressed as a lame black caricature, vs
Man who isn’t a woman doing a stereotypical performance dressed as a lame woman caricature.
English

@Ln23Jacob @laoisedebrun If you don’t see the difference between drag and blackface, then you’re a moron.
English

I've read that. It doesn't change a thing: I don't see how drag has anything to do with Mother's Day, or the pride flag with "all things Irish".
I have no interest in drag queens personnally (no problem if others want to see them perform, their choice), and as a woman I fail to see the difference from blackface minstrels. But I can't see how this is an appropriate PR choice.
English

@LorryBarry @chelseaL8ly she didn’t have a contract and you don’t even care about destitute people who can’t find work or don’t make enough $ at their jobs to not be unhoused
English

@PariahGary_ @PaulTreyvaud Gay men do not support women’s rights more than anyone else. Sure, a lot of gay men are supportive, but there’s also a fair bit of misogyny within the gay community.
English

This is an absolute national disgrace.

@jschaedler @PopCrave That would be even worse, that she’s paying multiple people to spend time on the man who cheated on her
English

@LorryBarry @PopCrave Actually, she can easily pay someone to do that for her. I’m sure she has accountants and they have staff.
English

@CoveredGeekly I never watched it solely because it Rachel had been recast
English

@PopCrave I could never imagine spending that much time on someone who betrayed me. Because she had to look up those receipts, screenshot or get copies, send them on her management, probably check with a lawyer, then sent to a designer or manufacturer to get the dress made
English

@Takes2Movie The only thing I don’t understand with this, if Tara dies early on, and they obviously won’t want to reveal Sam as ghostface until the end, who would ghostface be targeting? Assuming Sam would still be the main character. Would she target the twins?
English

The original plan for ‘SCREAM 7’ was for the Carpenter sisters to have their conclusion in the ‘SCREAM’ franchise.
• Both sister were going to die in ‘SCREAM 7’ with Tara played by (Jenna Ortega) to die in the opening scene, or really early into the film. With Sam also dying in the third act shortly after her Ghostface reveal.
• Plot description is described as “intended to be a claustrophobic, minute-to-minute and intense horror experience”. 🔪🩸
