People shitting on the Buffy cast for posting about Nicholas Brendon’s death don’t understand what it means to have cared about someone for many years while also understanding they can turn into someone you don’t know. It doesn’t make their mourning invalid, fake, or in support of the person’s negative actions in life. We really need to teach people what it means to be empathetic and nuanced because I fear we’re losing major components of our humanity here.

I've read that. It doesn't change a thing: I don't see how drag has anything to do with Mother's Day, or the pride flag with "all things Irish". I have no interest in drag queens personnally (no problem if others want to see them perform, their choice), and as a woman I fail to see the difference from blackface minstrels. But I can't see how this is an appropriate PR choice.
