People shitting on the Buffy cast for posting about Nicholas Brendon’s death don’t understand what it means to have cared about someone for many years while also understanding they can turn into someone you don’t know. It doesn’t make their mourning invalid, fake, or in support of the person’s negative actions in life. We really need to teach people what it means to be empathetic and nuanced because I fear we’re losing major components of our humanity here.

@mar2vickers Your comment about David means you’re missing the point of my post. Working, traveling, being in crazy close situations for X amount of years creates bonds that are near impossible to break even if bad blood happens. It’s not “simpery crap” to share remorse.

@jermlikespie There are other elements though. Clearly both Alyson Hannigan and Emma Caulfield genuinely loved the guy, for all his dreadful faults. But it's also pretty well known that David Boreanaz loathed the fella, not without cause, and still came out with the simpery crap.

This most recent episode of #SummerHouse really cements Kyle and Amanda’s marriage being dead. The way she doesn’t want anything to do with him or his plans. Not that I blame her! I’d be over it if my husband acted like that.
