Several of my family was murdered by communists, the US also had problems too but at least they offered to help and gave us a place to live. The communists only wanted death.

@Dr__2A @Nismo6677 @TheRealLegosi The reason I brought up France specifically is because Vietnam was a French colony and so were the Pacific islands they used to conduct nuclear tests. The French treated both regions terribly and literally poisoned their pacific colonies with radiation.

@Nismo6677 Ho Chi Minh negotiated in good faith with France and the US only to be stabbed in the back. When France agreed to split North and South Vietnam, they gave the Minh the half with poor farm land and fewer natural resources. Then the US and the South declared war on them.

@LostSheepNZ In the case of Vietnam, I'd say it was. I've been told in graphic detail by soldiers and people from Vietnam about what the US did. We're monsters, and that's puting it mildly. You think if we won it would be better? The US would have left a brutal Authoritarian in power.
