@LostWeapons People treat Ukr/RU drone tech as enormously complicated, but it's mostly hobbyist grade gear and open source software. Granted, US is currently led by a coalition of incompetent and corrupt authoritarians so we can't expect...well... competence.

@Svengooli @LostWeapons Because they’re kinda reusable in a sense that they can abort the mission and turn back to their bases. Also making them useful for recon missions.

Turkish suicide drone. I think it being normal takeoff will mean it never makes it big outside maybe Africa. Will just totally limit its usefulness in a major war. You need the ability to change launch locations to make these type of drones worth it

Green zone wasn’t a safe zone it was a control zone, other areas in Baghdad were ‘red zones’. Any real military is a threat to diplomatic zones. Fighter jets and ballistic missiles>drones

@JJ4766 @LostWeapons The entire concept of a "GREEN ZONE" died at the start of the Ukraine war. The moment Ukrainians started dropping hand grenades with drones on Russian soldiers "green zones" became as usefull as horse mounted cavalry.

The plus of this drone is it’s like 3x the warhead of Iranian shahed and 2x the larger Russian Geran-2. Which Turkey without f-35 and modern cruise missiles might be nice but still easy to shoot down. For African countries it might give powerful long range strike and ISR/resuable

You’re gonna move hundreds to thousands of troops in range of short range missiles and suicide drones with little cover. The oil facilities will be destroyed anyways in the fighting. Ships and helicopters will get in prime range to be targeted. Causalities could explode
