Sometimes I think about how EVERY single modern Doctor has had their first companion appear as part of their Regeneration and I’m not sure how I feel about that… They’re lovely moments for sure, but is it not more heartbreaking that these characters don’t get the chance to say goodbye? Is there a stage where it becomes overdone? #DoctorWho

REECE SHEARSMITH I’m a huge fan of Reece Shearsmith. Although he’s featured in Who before, of course, Shearsmith is a shining example of somebody who just ‘gets it’. The range that Shearsmith shows in Inside Number 9 is more impressive than anybody gives him credit for, and he has a wonderful understanding of the macabre that Doctor Who desperately needs… Could we have our very first Doctor/Showrunner right underneath our noses?
