I watched Leaving Neverland last night, the documentary about two kids who were sexually abused by Michael Jackson.
truly haunting stuff. I find it sickening how people will look over his behaviour with children because of his stardom. it’s horrible seeing these parents trusting him sleeping with their children without knowing him just because he was famous. michael always having a new young boy by his side on tour is just super super weird.
his estate has tried so hard to bury this film that they settled with HBO in 2024 to have it wiped off the face of the earth using a non-disparagement clause from 1992.

Ce com fait écho à ma frustration. 10 ans avant, les noirs pouvaient pas s’asseoir dans un même bus que les blancs aux usa. Les défis des Jacksons pour conquérir et asseoir le monde comme ils l’ont fait sont immense. Les stratégies, les doutes, le rejet.. et au final, on mythifie une sorte de truc sans contexte. Rien, ils ont grandi dans une pauvreté extrême. 2 pièces pour 11 personnes.. ce n’est pas signalé ou dit. On les voit riches et M.J a une autoroute.. avec des hihi partout.

Je supprime ce post si UNE SEULE PERSONNE me trouve un artiste qui soit au minimum au même niveau … Il a rendu tout artiste passé démodé et artiste futur déjà has-been, l’humiliation totale .

D'un côté un docu truffé de mensonges (flagrants) aveuglément survalidé par la critique professionnelle parce qu'elle "veut" que ce soit vrai.
De l'autre un biopic assassiné par ces mêmes critiques parce qu'il ne colle pas à leurs fantasmes.
