@Peps_Wrestling I knew this was the plan the moment they gave Callum the belt at Sakura Genesis. They gave it to him to make his story with Ospreay more interesting. Now they could swerve us and have Callum retain at dominion, but that’s very unlikely.

Actual question.. Did anyone ever doubt for a single second that Yota Tsuji is not getting the belt back by Dominion? Same for Aaron Wolf?

@LouisMa15 @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 I feel if it becomes more than 2 minutes it could disturbe the flow of the show a bit in my opinion. And the commentary do the work and talk about the stories.

This Will Ospreay tug of war between the United Empire and The Death Riders is really good. It's such a great use of continuity and the NJPW/AEW partnership.

@ekerto @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 It just needs to be mini recaps to update people when AEW talent go to other promotions to make stories. I’m not asking 30 minutes recaps. Maybe 2-5 minute recaps.

@LouisMa15 @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 Of course there needs to be something, but it should be just enough so people understand and get courious so that they want to mabye check it out. But it does not need to be a long recap and commentary will add more of the story when they talk about it.

@BackupHangman I can see it. Yuya winning the G1 and then beat Tsuji at the Tokyo dome, would solidify him as a top babyface for NJPW. I dunno if Ospreay will still be AEW world champion by January 4th 2027.

In my opinion, in order to make forbidden door meaningful, if they continue to make it a yearly ppv in AEW’s calendar, they need to continue these inter promotional stories or start stories from NJPW that involves some AEW talent and continue building them to Forbidden door

@LouisMa15 @PhilDL616 Not to this level to me. Will/Kenny felt strictly NJPW in the build to WK17 and then became an AEW story on the way to FD.

@TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 They’ve done it before with Will and Kenny at FD 2023 and at FD 2022 technically. FD 2024 and 2025 just felt like the “AEW and friends” PPVs.

@PhilDL616 Feels like the first time AEW & NJPW are working together to enhance a story, two top stars (Ospreay & Callum) & two top factions (DR & UE). I'm intrigued to see where this goes and if Moxley responds to what Will had to say to Callum

@ekerto @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 I do agree that AEW needs to do visual recaps on their shows to keep their audience updated, when their wrestlers are going to other promotions to make or enhance stories. They can’t expect people to watch NJPW PPVs live when they start at 3:00am-4:00am in North America.
