@TruHeelSP3 @DelboyxTweets I feel while it would make sense, it would lead to a match where everyone would think that MJF wins. With this stipulation it could mean that either could win. I would not be shocked if Darby wins and instead he loses to Omega at the new ppv.

@DelboyxTweets I would have preferred he never challenges for the AEW World Title stipulation over everything due to how closely tied he's been to the last times that was used

@ekerto Agreed. There is portions of last night's show i rather liked, but the group of talent that isn't over or consistently featured hurt things a bit to me.

I've stated before that a compelling main event storyline can be a rising tide for a wrestling promotion. That is what is working and striving in #AEW right now. The ever evolving & changing world title picture has become a riveting piece of television that informs different stars & stories that are neatly leading to engaging PPV programs. It also has been fantastic to know where stuff is heading yet having some twists (like Darby winning the title & his great reign so far) that helps to keep the viewer guessing. However, outside of the world title picture, the women's division has taken a backseat where no one outside of Thekla & two stars who are on the sidelines (Storm & Mone) get consistent dedicated promo time to get their characters over. Then, there are stories that have some foresight but might not connect with everyone (Mox/Ospreay), stories that lack forethought (Okada/Takeshita) or are adding new people for the sake of elongating (FTR/Cope & Cage). These are fixable issues that can be fleshed out over time, but they become glaring during the pacing of a 3 hour show. Of course, you need to give wrestlers an opportunity to become stars & connect w/the audience, but cold title matches & forcing them into programs that they might not belong is not the way to me. #AEW has had a strong 2026 that can not be denied overall. MJF has been WOTY, Darby's title reign is thriving, stars like Kevin Knight, Brody King & Tommaso Ciampa have been successfully elevated & business metrics have improved, but it's not perfect and needs to address these problems.

WWE’s greed and ineptitude is annoyingly putting Tony Khan in a position where he has to “save” some of the people getting cut. Watching this Dynamite, there’s already a giant blob of Guys and factions fighting and doing stuff, with very little differentiation, creative flair or much standing out outside of the main event scene and I dread the prospects of (upwards of) 10 people being added to that mix. There’s already just a lot of people on these shows. Too many, all presented around the same level, not enough of them are stars. It’s just content with Guys. It would be ideal if TNA was more viable or if the Japanese promotions had money.

@TruHeelSP3 I agree with you. In this 3 h show, there is an good 2 hour show in my opinion. But when it drags out, it becomes more diluted. It´s one of the reasons I stopped watching wwe (among other things). On a side not, because Andrade and Rush got similar videopackages, they will fight.

No, I think AEW's issues are noticeable to even fans who just watch AEW and have nothing to do with WWE. Like I said, they are all fixable and sometimes go unnoticed thanks to the extremely high quality of the wrestling from every individual featured. The 3 hour format on TV is something that has been a struggle for every promotion. For AEW, it makes you pay attention to how many people on the show ain't doing much or actively getting involved in worthwhile stories across the card.

This Will Ospreay tug of war between the United Empire and The Death Riders is really good. It's such a great use of continuity and the NJPW/AEW partnership.

@LouisMa15 @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 I feel if it becomes more than 2 minutes it could disturbe the flow of the show a bit in my opinion. And the commentary do the work and talk about the stories.

@ekerto @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 It just needs to be mini recaps to update people when AEW talent go to other promotions to make stories. I’m not asking 30 minutes recaps. Maybe 2-5 minute recaps.

@LouisMa15 @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 Of course there needs to be something, but it should be just enough so people understand and get courious so that they want to mabye check it out. But it does not need to be a long recap and commentary will add more of the story when they talk about it.

@ekerto @TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 I do agree that AEW needs to do visual recaps on their shows to keep their audience updated, when their wrestlers are going to other promotions to make or enhance stories. They can’t expect people to watch NJPW PPVs live when they start at 3:00am-4:00am in North America.

@TruHeelSP3 @PhilDL616 "But but but but, why did this not happend on dynamite, where is the video packages, nobody cares about this, its not easy to follow it..." Just typing what bad faith people will say and talk about. But they dont need to worry, the gingebread funeral will be great storytelling😂

@PhilDL616 Feels like the first time AEW & NJPW are working together to enhance a story, two top stars (Ospreay & Callum) & two top factions (DR & UE). I'm intrigued to see where this goes and if Moxley responds to what Will had to say to Callum

@PhilDL616 It´s so apparent that they dont want a contructive conversation. Having opinions on aew and admiting to not watching it or only seing highlights of the show is just bad faith opinions. And bad faith opinions dont deserv my time so I blocked them.

@Kng0fTheN0rth That is a person that does not have her own opinion, that is watching other people complain about random out of context clips from aew and just vomit out that as her opinion. The fact that she has never watched an aew show shows me she is a bad faith grifter.

@TruHeelSP3 I stopped watching wwe programming in around 2020 cause I felt it was not for me anymore and Aew was so for me. I do still watch some podcasts and follow whats happening on social media. I feel I made the right decision. I do feel bad for you and other covering this. 😅

@TruHeelSP3 I like that aew are making it hard for people to miss either show cause both shows are doing the work and more with matches, promos and angels. Meanwhile I stopped watching wwe cause I felt I could miss many shows and not feel like I missed anything important in my opinion.

I thought last night's Collision was another solid night of programming. #AEW has found an effective way to use the TV time on Saturday nights to apply as a vehicle to set up matches for #AEWDynamite as well as undercard stories heading into the PPV. The MJF & Kevin Knight promo was very good & presented The Jet as a star on the rise stepping up to the top guy, creating another essential showcase in his climb up the ladder in the company. He held his own against Max on the mic & displayed what makes him a future top star. Meanwhile, the rest of the show featured another damn good Death Riders vs Don Callis Family multi-man match to help build the Moxley/Takeshita feud; ProtOkada picking up a tag win & setting up some future title matches w/Jet Set Rodeo; Timeless Toni Storm & Marina Shafir resuming their feud, while exposing Wheeler Yuta's bald head; another quality promo from Thekla to build her rivalry w/Kris Statlander & her match w/Rosa; and a great Andrade/Ishii main event that set up the Bandido match for #AEWRevolution. They have found a groove for both shows that should continue in the coming weeks ahead of the PPV. #AEWCollision
