@NiallHarbison Such wonderful news to see how he is recovering. It’s amazing that he managed to survive when he was found. It really is a miracle that he is able to adapt and begin to flourish . The dedication and love given to Rocky and all the dogs that come into your care is heartwarming.

🧼 Kicked out of his suite for room service to come in. 👀 Waiting for me for his little routine. Look how he judges the step and knows the sounds to get around. 🍣 He even knows where the smoked salmon and poached chicken is. A new bandana on and away we go 🙏

@urbanponds101 When I was younger we used to have loads in our garden. I remember thinking that they were boring. Today, I rarely see one in my childhood garden and wish I appreciated them when I was little. I’ve definitely noticed a huge decline in them. Sad times.

Can you ID this bird? Filmed this morning finding its breakfast in my lawn. I've always been amazed by their plumage. Considered invasive in the States, in the UK breeding population has fallen by over 80% since the 1970s, causing them to be placed on the red list. Any fans out there?

5️⃣ It's hard to believe but Rocky has now been here for five days and I think today is the most incredible he has ever looked 💤 I had a lot of messages and suggestions that maybe it would be better to put Rocky asleep when I first found him on Saturday 🐕 I think you can see from his whole body language, his wagging tail, and how hungry he is that this is a dog that very much wants to live 🍣 Every day we have a little routine where I change his bandana and bring him some smoked salmon and poached chicken. It's a little boy's picnic and it's the most magical time, sitting in the sun, you could ever imagine. 👀 We're slowly getting towards a stage where we might be able to do more for him with his eyes but there's no rush on that because he has so many ailments. What I am noticing is that he's fantastic at navigating around using my voice, the smell of food, and by learning the different types of grass and trees in his small area There's a lot of bad news in the world and doom and gloom. Rocky might just be one little individual street dog in Thailand but I really think he's helping put a smile not just on my face but on people around the world. A truly special little creature is Mr. Rocky ❤️

It’s the natural order of things. It’s coming down the line for everyone with living parents — and yet, still, I just cannot fathom a world without Mum in it. (“Mum” to everyone, including her 18 grandchildren.) Even though she was 91 and had lived a huge life, we were still unprepared. It still felt sudden — a devastating shock. As a recently bereaved friend said to me, “There’s no getting round the shock of it. Mums are a big deal.” Losing the person who brought you into this world is a big deal. I took it for granted that she’d be presiding over us forever. If yours is alive, hold her close. Stay the extra hour. Sit down. Put your phone away. Say all the things you need to say. Funny and sharp to the end — when a young doctor doing his rounds in the hospital (where she’d very reluctantly found herself, much to her irritation) on Friday evening spoke to her like an old person — “DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?” he said slowly, over-enunciating every syllable. “I have a stomach pain, not Alzheimer’s,” she shot back. A few hours later, on Saturday morning, she died peacefully in her sleep. I’m grateful for that. She was so loved. RIP Mum.

Introducing the newest member of the @The_GA & a cautionary tale of blowing your nose whilst being 37weeks pregnant! Maternity leave unexpectedly started today! The first baby to be born into a vice presidency of the GA. Baby boy sheriff, no name as of yet! The world at his feet.

@EmilyP_Smith It angers me too…my sister suffers from mental health issues . She is now a shadow of her former self but when she first became poorly she was in such a state she was unable to work. She couldn’t get out of bed or function like a human being.

I cannot tell you how much this angers me. Last year my husband had a breakdown. Nothing can prepare you for seeing the man you have loved for nearly 20 years turn into an empty shell. He was referred for NHS therapy June last year, he is yet to get his 1st appointment. 1/

Spent the day finalising our T&L Playbook for next year. Core techniques are a mix of @TeachLikeAChamp and @WALKTHRUs_5 strategies. The playbook details the what, how, when and why of each, with videos from @Steplab_co for teachers to explore in labs and with their coaches. 🤓
