I have annoyed thoughts about Memphis. I hate the process. I hate alienating Ja the way they have, no matter how much Ja made the bed. I HATED trading Jaren regardless and especially without trading Ja too. I HATE the way it feels apparent to me how much they're centering everything on Edey, despite how great his impact metrics are. But like... Ty Jerome is AWESOME. He may be even better than we thought based on small samples. Cedric is a BEAST. Wells found his shot late in the season. Javon shot 44% from 3, OMax 41% and I love his defensive upside. I'm excited about Hendricks and Clayton. They'll add good picks and their FO is so good at finding value. Memphis will be fun to watch next year if they don't tank. I'm annoyed by how good the talent pool is and how broken the culture seems. Iisalo has some really terrific principles but I question the team leadership and people management skills. But Memphis IS talented. I just always think the harder part is everything else.

No way Milwaukee includes the 2026 1st. Portis, Kuzma, Rollins for Morant, (insert player not named Coward or Edey here), and #32 in this draft MIGHT work. Milwaukee does not have a 2nd round pick in this draft. Bucks MIGHT be desperate enough to appease Giannis to move Rollins.
jsmalloy@jsmalloy136427

@JoeMullinax They also get access to trading their 2026 pick once the season is over, something they didn’t have at the deadline… BP, Kuzma, 2026 pick and call it a day? Forget about Rollins they like him too much

@GrizzliesPR @grindcitymedia @memgrizz What is the point in giving a guy who only averaged 6 points in the G-league 10 days in the NBA? Just to make sure you don’t mess up the tank and accidentally win a game? Cause I can’t think of another reason.

@DamichaelC This honestly has been the worst year to be grizzles that I can remember. Like this must be humiliation ritual for the 1st overall pick or something.

@GrizzliesPR @memgrizz I used to hold tightly to the “angry basketball gods” thesis. But it’s no longer tenable to blame our injuries on bad luck. The evidence is pointing too strongly in another direction. I just wonder how late at night ZK stays up plotting this stuff.

@UncleBuck_BCM @bcmGrizzlies No. I was on the edge. And now, I just saw the news about Ja, BC, and Edey. This is total fan abuse. I can’t support a management like this.

When the Grizzlies traded for Walter Clayton Jr the assumption was that he would compete for a point guard role for the future Grizzlies' era. He has not been good and is clearly not the answer @UncleBuck_BCM and Wayne'O discuss.

Basketball University@UofBasketball

Ty Jerome is great at creating for himself and his teammates… Since returning from injury, he’s been one of the best per minute offensive engines in the league.

The problems with Christian nationalism & why It’s one of the most dangerous false teachings of our day? 1. It Confuses the Kingdom of God with Earthly Nations The Bible consistently teaches that God’s kingdom is not tied to any earthly nation-state. • John 18:36 – Jesus says, “My kingdom is not of this world.” • Philippians 3:20 – “Our citizenship is in heaven.” The people of God are not defined by national borders but by faith in Christ. The church is a transnational community. This becomes clear after Pentecost, where people from many nations become one people of God. 2. It Reverses the New Testament Mission The New Testament mission is making disciples of all nations, not making one nation Christian. • Matthew 28:19 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” The church spreads through evangelism and discipleship, not through state power. 3. It Confuses the Church with the State Scripture keeps a clear distinction between the mission of the church and the role of government. • Romans 13:1–7 – Government exists to restrain evil and maintain order. • Acts 5:29 – “We must obey God rather than men.” Government has a limited, temporal role, while the church carries the spiritual mission of redemption. 4. It Tempts Christians Toward Idolatry of Nation Scripture repeatedly warns against idolatry, including trusting political powers instead of God. • Psalm 146:3 – “Do not put your trust in princes.” • Isaiah 31:1 – Warning against trusting political alliances instead of God. When national identity becomes sacred, it can become an idol. 5. It Undermines the Multiethnic Nature of the Church The gospel creates a multiethnic people of God, not a single cultural or national expression. • Revelation 7:9 – A multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language. • Ephesians 2:14–16 – Christ breaks down dividing walls between peoples. Christian nationalism often elevates one culture or ethnicity as the “true Christian culture.” 6. It Risks Forcing External Christianity Without Heart Conversion Biblically, true faith must be voluntary and internal. • Jeremiah 31:33 – God writes the law on hearts. • John 3:3 – People must be born again. State-enforced Christianity can create cultural Christianity without genuine faith. 7. Presents a false form of the Christian faith to the world * 2 Corinthians 6:3 It creates obstacle to the gospel for non-Christian’s * Matthew 23:23 seeks to rewrite history to subvert biblical justice Christian nationalism bears false witness and creates cognitive dissonance to blind people to the comprehensive scope of the gospel. They affirm the content of the gospel, but deny its scope thereby preaching another gospel To all the non-Christians, who will look at this post this is not THE WAY or what is commonly called Christianity? It is something else. “I mean strictly to apply to the slaveholding religion of this land, and with no possible reference to Christianity proper; for, between the Christianity of this land, and the Christianity of Christ, I recognize the widest possible difference—so wide, that to receive the one as good, pure, and holy, is of necessity to reject the other as bad, corrupt, and wicked. To be the friend of the one, is of necessity to be the enemy of the other. I love the pure, peaceable, and impartial Christianity of Christ: I therefore hate the corrupt, slaveholding, women-whipping, cradle-plundering, partial and hypocritical Christianity of this land — Frederick Douglas “Woe to those who enact evil statutes And to those who constantly record mischief, So as to turn the poor away from their cause And rob the afflicted of My people of their justice, Isa 10:1-2 ““Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; Matt 23:23-24 —Yehoshua #christian #justice #God #Jesus #christiannationalism

People have to also realize that tanking is always organizational No players are down with tanking or actively helping their team lose They all want to play and WIN across the league but they get it. It’s part of the business There’s nothing unique or exclusive to the Grizzlies situation
Bluff City Media Grizzlies@bcmGrizzlies

.@ScoopB joined @SainAsylum and shared that there could be up to 5 Grizzlies' players that are being held out of games even though they are healthy enough to play. Is Ja Morant one of them? Full clip link: youtu.be/aeWGUXDVQ-c #memphisgrizzlies #jamorant
