@LoveFlatEarth Remember, it's cold, dropping the temp in your house means you'll need to turn up the heat when you turn the power back on, meaning more power usage. I'd be interested to see the power usage after this ends. Does it go back to the forecasted, or actually higher?

@LoveFlatEarth @rwoodman80 @CBCNL Assuming the 40megawatts really even blipped on their radar, lower usage will just mean higher rates. A smart protest would be at Confederation Building, PUB meetings. Those places, but it's easier to turn off your power and feel like you made a difference

@mikepower709 @rwoodman80 @CBCNL Your supporting the island wide protest of nl hydro/ nalcor in raising the price 6.8 percent. Many of us can not afford it. And our light bills were so high the winter we struggled to keep up. Everyone here is feeling the increase. Lots of support today.
