My dad then send me this marketplace post for a rusted old gas room heater he found in a town 75km from me and tell me to go get it. My house has central heating, and I have small electric heaters on top. I didn't need a gas heater.

@ashleyeleanor @iniemohk A lot of my required service hours involved being in senior centers, assisted living, etc. and at the very least I think it helped me develop a level of empathy for certain people that I may not have gotten being homeschooled

@iniemohk Yes! We had “service projects” each year of catholic high school - working with the sick/disabled, elderly, poor & incarcerated. Visiting long term care facilities was really upsetting, which is why it was valuable. Probably the only part of my religious education I respect!

@V33V33V33V33V33 I keep a small old hard drive for all my NVidia clips, just hit the shortcut as I play when something fun happens and sort them later in the week, share with friends, etc. I'd rather have that than ray tracing or whatever else is coming along

unironically the biggest leap in graphics card tech is that you can just press a keybind and it will save the last several minutes of what you were just doing at zero performance loss back in my day recording things would take up like 50% of ur processing power

@ExpatCajun As much as I lean towards "the economy is fucked" overall I do have several cousins under 25yo who eat out/order food for almost every meal. To be fair I did the same thing a decade and a half ago but that was also when $5 got you four or five burritos and a drink at Taco Bell
