I was born a girl, went to an all girls HS as a teenage girl, had periods, endometriosis, pregnancies uterine + ovarian cancer then hysterectomy as a woman. But TERFs erase me.

The BMA has looked at the EHRC's revised draft Code of Practice and it does not like what it sees. 131 MPs have now signed my motion to stand up for trans people and stop the EHRC's Draft Code of Practice coming into force. For it to succeed, the motion needs to be debated and voted on, so I asked the government if it will allocate time. Unfortunately the Leader of the House did not make that commitment. We will continue to press for a debate and a vote. Please encourage your MP to sign EDM 240.

As a woman, I play up to the gender stereotype all the time. I buy clothes in the women's department wear make up, have a feminine hair cut, wear heels, carry a handbag.. None of these things are connected to my "biological sex" Yet it's deemed offensive when TW do these things?

@jacobharrisuk As a woman (a real one) I do not want a biological male in the same changing rooms/toilets/hospital wards etc. as women. In allowing TiM's these intrusions it has been a huge blow to the freedoms and dignity of women. The government must uphold the law.

Maybe I am an old fogey, but it really feels like the opposition to and demonization of trans people in the United States happened at such a rapid clip. And it feels like a big part of it is due to the fact most people don't know a transgender person in their daily lives.
