Merry Christmas to everyone!
May your day be filled with joy, love, and warmth surrounded by those you cherish.
A special heartfelt thank you to all the first responders—police officers, firefighters, paramedics, nurses, doctors, and dispatchers on duty today—who are spending this holiday away from their families to keep us all safe. Your sacrifice and dedication mean the world.

Day 5: HCSO Dive Team Update – Kerr County Recovery Mission
The HCSO Dive Team is honored to work alongside dedicated first responders, dive teams from federal, state, local, and international agencies, and selfless volunteers in response to the catastrophic July 4th flooding near the Guadalupe River. The days are long, and the Texas heat is relentless, but our collective resolve is unshaken. Together, we’re working tirelessly to bring closure to the families affected. Thank you to all involved for your unwavering commitment.

The HCSO Dive Team has deployed to Kerrville, TX, joining hundreds of volunteers, firefighters, and law enforcement agencies in recovery efforts following the devastating floods on July 4, 2025. Our hearts are heavy with the tragic loss of life, including children from Camp Mystic. It is an honor to assist in this somber mission.

Excited to announce that HCSO is teaming up with our Federal, State, and Local first responder partners for the 2025 SAREX Search and Rescue Exercise! This large-scale training will simulate hurricane response and rescues, ensuring our teams are always ready when disaster strikes. It’s training like this that keeps our first responders sharp and our community safer.

Early start for the HCSO Dive Team today as they joined forces with Baytown PD Dive Team to assist the HCSO Unit in recovering a murder weapon reportedly dumped in the San Jacinto River. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack, but the search continues with determination and teamwork. Stay tuned for updates.

Great day on the water as we welcomed two of our professional staff members for a maritime ride-along. It's always a pleasure to share our passion and dedication with other members of our HCSO team. @DavidBJasper @sgtbenluce @SheriffEd_HCSO @HCSOTexas
