Optimizers set almost everything to minimum in game, and they benchmark with no upscaling or with FidelityFX CAS. Here’s a very long-winded thread explaining my experience with various settings. I would love input from PC Optimizers because I still have a lot to learn. With no changes to anything but in game settings, I can raise my anisotropic filtering and texture resolution to high and normal, respectively, with ZERO impact to my CPU or GPU 1% lows. The difference in clarity in game is night and day, and I don’t even see an impact on RTSS. I can also change from DLSS Performance Model M to DLSS Ultra Performance Model L which has more intensive processing with no impact to my CPU lows, and Texture Res on Normal with Aniso on high makes it look as good as Performance. The difference in GPU frames? 1% Lows from ~300 to ~335 and average from ~335 to ~365. When monitoring system latency, CPU avg latency is pretty much unaffected, maybe 0.1ms in CPU intensive moments, but my GPU latency drops from ~3.5ms average to ~2.5ms avg. I’ll have to do testing with heavy streaks and 10v10, but for most situations, it’s a net decrease in latency which also means decreased input lag. Ironically, swapping to DLSS Model L UP and raising Aniso and texture resolution increased my CPU frames by five fps on the 1% lows and ten fps average. (It made my 9800x3d hit 600 avg lmfao)

Remember when @MaximsTweets covered the frame rate limiter mode on nv profile inspector 6 years ago ? Since then with newer drivers you couldn't access the feature or it was blocked by a NVAPI error. I just made this possible again by editing the nvpi's reference.xml file. Test the different modes proposed here and if you'd like to revert the changes on the frame rate limiter mode just bring it back to default !
