@thejustinwelsh This is how I started building at 49 with zero coding. Didn't quit my job. Just opened Claude Code one evening and made something small. Then another. The 'bold' part was just not stopping after the first one.

I hope so but I'm not sure. My main concern is about small accounts like mine: how visible my posts and my threads will be without a community? For me, the main points of being part of a community is about: - learning from other people - getting to know other people - sharing my built-in public posts, AND - getting more impressions, more visibility, because when I post on my account I get very limited impressions, very low visibility. While with the communities my posts and threads were more visible. Will small accounts be penalized after the 6th of May? That's a big question mark.

so... X is shutting down communities the #buildinpublic community has +255k members, so is the whole buildinpublic movement on X dead, or will it survive without this community?

@BatsouElef Got Claude to refactor an auth flow I'd been avoiding for weeks. Took 20 minutes. I'd been dreading it for 20 days. The real win is finally doing the thing you're scared of.

the hardest part of being a solo founder is being your own PM, marketer, support team and therapist, all at once.

@jasonlk @Replit Went from zero coding to 4 shipped products in 14 months. Never learned to 'prompt.' I just describe what I want like I'm talking to a colleague. The barrier is gone.

You truly do not need to know how to ‘prompt’ anymore. This is important and many folks don’t get this. ‘Prompting’ was a 2025 skill. It was important … then. Today I told @Replit in 1 English sentence to build us a site for all the SaaStr AI annual parties this year, grab the images, make interactive, and automate sign-ups in one plain English sentence. No prompting required anymore. No mapping it out in Claude first. No defining guardrails. Just 1 sentence It crushed That’s it. And it’s only April.

@theo I build 9 PM to midnight after the kids sleep. Things launch while I'm in bed. But the flip side? I ship in one evening what took me a week 6 months ago. The pace is wild but it compounds.
