@conway4congress Hi, 7th voter here: what fraud specifically has been shown? The IG report cites invoices modified to receive a larger payment, but doesn’t even demonstrate that that increased payment was illegitimate. We don’t know any of the basic facts because the IG declined to share them.

The report outlines the nonprofits inflating receipts for reimbursement compared to the original receipts from the companies they procured from. CBO buys something from a company, claims reimbursement, overbills etc

She received a stack of redacted documents and had only begun reviewing a handful of the nonprofits involved when her access to the records needed to complete the investigation was cut off. Even so, she uncovered thousands of dollars in inflated invoices.

@Luca_Amayo @KathyforMD The world finds US Aid's woke imperialism even more noxious than US voters do. 12 years ago in Dubai my global friends were making jokes about the "gay Pakistani puppet show" US Aid was funding. Their embarrassment has only become more cringe (and more expensive) since.
