Because it won’t be a comunity like Reddit or the countless communities already out there on Slack, Discord, and Telegram. I’m building a community where, if you join, it’s because you bring value to others. You’re looking for longstanding, professional collaborations. No spamming your own services. There are other places for that. I.e: Users rating system and another features will help to maintain an ethical environment.

@Luca_Ramassa agree once self-promotion becomes more rewarding in a community rather than contributing value, quality drops really fast.. how you will handle that?

Okay, as promised, here I am with the second update of my #BuildingInPublic journey! So, I’m starting to understand a bit how the X algorithm and boost system work. Basically, I noticed that more “technical” posts get almost zero attention hahaha, while narrative posts like this one tend to get way more engagement. Makes sense though. Technical stuff isn’t interesting to everyone. But let’s get into the numbers 👇 Day 2: - Spent around 2 hours engaging and replying to people (same as yesterday) - Wrote around 7 replies and liked several posts - Published 2 posts explaining technical stuff + the Day 1 diary update - Wrote an article that I’ll publish either tonight or tomorrow here on X (sharing a personal experience and why I decided to build a community) Day 2 results: +13 followers +27 visits to my waiting list page 0 new signups on outreachpal.io Okay, not exactly shocking... Getting people to do more than just say “cool project” isn’t easy. If it were, we’d all be entrepreneurs 😂 Right now, I need to figure out how to make people actually join the waiting list so they can get access once the platform is ready. I don’t need 500 people. Honestly, even 20 would be enough just to test whether the whole community structure actually works and stays stable. Still, the coolest part so far has been seeing people already messaging me and giving feedback after just 24 hours. That’s exactly why I decided to write this diary. Small reflection: Building in public creates a really good kind of pressure. You can’t keep procrastinating anymore. And to everyone following the journey: thank you ❤️ Your likes, comments, and messages are helping me way more than you probably realize. #Day2 #IndieMaker #StartupJourney
