My kid asked why I stood in the cereal aisle so long last night. Truth is, i was doing math in my head. same box. same brand. i could have sworn it cost less the last time I bought it so i checked my bank app scrolled back a few years found the receipt. It wasn’t in my head. it really did cost less I didn’t buy anything different. i didn’t threat myself. i bought the same box of cereal i’ve bought a hundred times. We keep hearing the economy is doing fine. maybe it is somewhere. but nobody in congress standing in that aisle doing the math with me. My kid just wanted cereal. i just wanted an honest answer for why it cost more than it used to.
