@winexviv This a very brilliant idea, a very creative of the growing wealth for all and still maintaining our heritage. I wrote proposal on same igba boy as a part of community development and engaging the youths who are currently wasting their youthful energy on Yahoo+ and drug abuse.

So this is how we are thinking of redesigning the Igbo apprenticeship program “Igba boy”. For the pilot program, we will likely take in 200 persons to engage in the training on global quality carpentry, bricklaying, tilling, plumbing, HVAC, POP and electricals. The trainees will engage in an intensive 1 year program which they will be housed and fed. No holidays during the program. An additional 3 months will be on business and commercialization. Once they complete the cohort and they meet the standards set, they will be settled with a good amount of money to build on the business arm of their skills. Those who don’t meet up will be dropped off from the program. We will be visiting training centers in Togo and Germany in the coming weeks to solidify our plans and training partnerships. Let’s brainstorm… what do you think?

My name is Zainab. I’m 27 years old. An SS. That is, I live with sickle cell disease. My parents are both AS. Oh, they They knew. They were told. They still married. They said God approved it. They said love would be enough. They said faith would cover the consequences. I am the consequence. I was diagnosed before I was two. My childhood memories are not playgrounds or cartoons, they are; hospitals, needles, and adults whispering when they thought I couldn’t hear. In primary school, I missed classes so often that teachers stopped asking why. Some classmates thought I was pretending. Some thought I was cursed. I learned early how to smile while feeling different. By secondary school, the pain episodes became more frequent. I would wake up excited for school and end the day on a hospital bed. I watched my mates grow normally while my life moved in pauses, school, hospital, recovery, repeat. At 15, I lost my younger brother to sickle cell. We were both SS. That day changed me forever. My parents broke down in front of me — crying, apologizing, saying “We followed faith. We didn’t think…” But the damage had already been done. Sometimes I forgive them. Sometimes I resent them deeply. Both feelings live in me. In university, I tried to be normal. I joined sickle cell advocacy groups, volunteered with awareness organizations, spoke at events, encouraged parents to test their genotype. People call me strong. They call me a warrior. What they don’t see is me crying alone at night after another silent pain episode. They don’t see the fear that comes with planning a future in a body that doesn’t always cooperate. And Relationships? That’s another wound. I’ve been loved… briefly. The moment conversations turn serious about marriage, children, commitment….they leave. Some are honest. Some ghost me. Some promise forever and disappear quietly. One man once said he would do anything for me. He talked about taking me abroad, better care, a life without fear. I believed him. For the first time, my heart rested. Then one day, he stopped calling. That heartbreak triggered one of the worst crises I’ve had as an adult. Not because of physical stress but because hope collapsed. Now I’m older. The pain episodes come differently. Less dramatic, but more exhausting. My body recovers slower. My fears are heavier. I ask myself questions my parents never asked each other. I am strong, yes. But I am tired. If you are AS and the person you love is AS, please love your unborn children enough to stop and think. Faith is not a license to ignore knowledge. I am a proof to that I didn’t ask to be a lesson. But if my life can prevent another child from being born into avoidable pain, then my voice matters. That’s why I’m writing this to you. Because people listens to you and this story needs to be heard. I hope that your audience share this till it reaches those who are about to walk by faith and not by sight, Sickle Cell is real!. Adeyinka, keep rescuing lives, I love how you raise awareness and say the truth unapologetically, those who do not like you are probably those who wish they could be you. Have you met you?. Oh,I see you Queen Ade💪🏻

Local man has bent the knee. We both knew we’d get married, so I played it cool like “no need for the proposal thing.” What she didn’t know was I had ideas. And a storyboard. A resplendent garden. A fake TikTok shoot. The genesis of a forever after. LFG! #ChidisTreasure ❤️😆💍

Gentleman Mike Ejeagha (4 April 1930 – 6 June 2025) Gentleman Micheal Nwachukwu Ejeagharibe, was not just a musician — he was a philosopher in melody, a griot, sage in song, and a living archive of Igbo wisdom. For those who truly knew him, his gift went far beyond music. It radiated from his entire being — in the quiet depth of his thoughts, and in the richness of the values he imparted. Born on April 4, 1930, in Enugu to Mr. Jacob and Mrs. Jennet Ejeagha, he hailed from Imezi-Ọwa in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State. He began his education at St. Patrick’s School, Ogbete Enugu, and completed it in 1948 before joining Costain West Africa Limited, a construction firm. But even then, music had already taken root in his soul. At the age of 14, he began his musical journey, learning to play the guitar under the guidance of two elderly guitarists in his Coal City neighborhood. In 1950, he formed a quartet group called The Merry Makers, and by 1951, he had recorded his first disc, “Colliery Massacre." In 1952, he auditioned at the Nigerian Broadcasting Service (now Radio Nigeria Enugu), and was selected as a regular artist on the program “Guitar Play Time,” produced by legendary broadcasters such as Egbuna Obidike, Charles Ogbonna, and Chijioke Abagwe. By 1959, he joined the Paradise Rhythm Orchestra and soon became its bandleader. It was during this period that he began forging his unique musical identity — one rooted deeply in the Igbo language and worldview, far removed from the trend of copying Ghanaian and Congolese sounds. He released several singles under the Niger-Phone label in Onitsha, including classics like “Unfortunate Lady,” “Ofu Nwa a Naa,” “Okụkọ Kwaa,” “King Solomon’s Wisdom (Don’t Divide the Living Child),” “Ụwa Mgbede Ka Mma,” and “Gwo Gwo Gwo Gwom.” In 1964, he recorded “Nwanyị Mma Anaa” in memory of his late wife. That same year, he joined the Leisure Garden Dance Band and later formed his own Premier Dance Band, using his savings from Radio Nigeria to purchase instruments. In 1966, just before the outbreak of the Nigeria-Biafra war, he married Miss Susan Titil Oti of the Nigeria Prison Service. During the war, he relocated to Umuahia with his family. Upon returning to Enugu, he found that his musical instruments had been destroyed. Though momentarily discouraged, he began again — proving that, as the Igbo say, “If the hen stops clucking, how will she train her chicks?” In 1971, he launched the unforgettable “Akụkọ na Egwu”series on NTA and ESBS Radio, a blend of storytelling and music that would become his lifelong legacy. With this series, he institutionalized Igbo folklore music and created a space where proverbs, morality, and cultural history met rhythm and melody. Gentleman Mike Ejeagha’s discography spans over 30 albums and numerous timeless singles. His music, never used for praise-singing, was rich with proverbs, idioms, and social philosophy — reflecting the lives, struggles, and values of ordinary people. His unique style made him a cornerstone of Igbo cultural preservation, widely studied in academic circles and referenced in social discourse. He was a member of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), founded in 1984 by Christy Essien Igbokwe and Sunny Okosun. Among his numerous honors and awards are: • Silver Disc Award – Polygram Records • Certificate of Merit – Black Power Movement • Certificate of Excellence – University of Nigeria, Nsukka • Outstanding Performance Award – Ezeagu LGA (2001) • Udi/Ezeagu Merit Award (2009) -On April 4, 2021, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha turned 91 years old, and his birthday was marked by a significant communal celebration in Enugu. Just as he sang in his song "jaa m mma na ndụ." The event beautifully reflected the Igbo tradition of honoring a person of greatness while they are still living. In the early hours of today, I arrived Paris, the capital city of France. It was a beautiful trip - an excellent service from Air France and an opportunity to view the city from the air as we descended at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Tomorrow, I will engage in a “Meet & Greet” with Aguata Indigenes in France. In the next couple of days, I will also be meeting with Aguata indigenes in Ludwigshafen, Memmingnen, Nuremberg, Amsterdam, Vienna, Rome and Berlin. The purpose is to galvanize support and collaborations for our agenda in Aguata LGA particularly on education, security, youth development and social infrastructure. So far, Paris has been amazing. Ici C’est Paris!

After three years of defending my thesis, it feels good to be officially conferred with the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Political Science by the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam. It was an interesting journey, beginning a PhD and setting a target to complete same in a record time. My thesis on “The Made-in-China 2025 Initiative and the United States of America’s Military Technological Hegemony” was extremely insightful, providing understanding on the place of the two super powers on today’s world. I dedicate this conferment to the evergreen memory of my External Examiner, Prof. Aja Akpuru-Aja, who while sharing his sentiments on my work, proudly stated, “this is the about the best PhD study and presentation I have witnessed, both at NIPSS and the National Defence College…”. I look forward to future academic endeavours. Of Course, if Aguata and the wahala of politics permits. Congratulations to me!

1Kings 19- Prior to this, Elijah had killed the prophets of Baal and Jezebel was now threatening seriously to kill him. The bible records in V3 that “Elijah was afraid & ran for his life.” The threat made him to panic which caused him to run. This is how most of us react to life.

Today, we visited Community Secondary School, Amaogudu Umuchima ward in Ebonyi State and met students learning here. This is a state that it's government spent over N500M for Hajj and N500M for flight tickets for less than 250 persons. Ebonyi State people, fix your state. The state of things are very very bad!
