Splendid evening at #Guildhall yesterday at the @AirPilotsCo Banquet, following my investiture as a Liveryman of the Company. Told @citylordmayor that one of his predecessors wondered whether an automatic pilot might one day become a #Freeman.

I have had my five minutes of fame on Women on the Frontline. Bear in my mind I am beginner to this. It was a lot of fun filming and showing off some archival material, even if didn’t all appear in the final edit. channel4.com/programmes/ww2…

Today we lost my father-in-law, two weeks short of his 91st birthday. Organist for most of his adult life (50 years+ in his most recient church), Principal Director of Patents for MOD, and devoted grandfather. I've known him nearly half his life, and will miss him.

Neil Flanigan MBE, has passed away, at 99 years old. We interviewed him in 2019 for our film. Neil was the 39th person from Jamaica to volunteer for the RAF. He trained as ground crew & worked on aircraft taking part in Operation Market-Garden. He'll be much missed. RIP Neil.

Selective mutism is a condition which affects one in 140 children in the UK. It’s great to see awareness-raising articles like this as I once had selective mutism. In my two decades of youth volunteering, I have only come across one child with it. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

Today we have an archival mystery photograph for you (Ref: Acc 5179). Sadly, we don't know who and where this female pilot is. We think that the flight gear dates to the early 1910s/1920s. Anyone have any ideas as to who she might be? #FemalePilots #WomensHistoryMonth #Aviation
