This is so crass. Honestly, this is the kind of thing people should actually be fixating on tonight and asking real questions about. Is that real bread? Is it dummy bread? Because even if it turns out to be fake, the visual alone is still deeply tone deaf. Bread is one of the most basic food staples. In a country where people are constantly talking about food inflation, hunger and poverty, a designer and a client sat down, brainstormed this concept, executed it and photographed it. The image screams excess and waste, and this idea shouldn’t be seen anywhere near high fashion artistry.

The honour of the Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) is not preserved through violence, but through sincere adherence to his Sunnah in every aspect of life. He himself was insulted, mocked, persecuted, and cursed during his lifetime, yet he did not respond by indiscriminately killing those who offended him. Had he done so, many of those who later embraced Islam would never have had the opportunity to receive his message. Will his enemies stop insulting him? No, they will not. But our response must reflect his noble example. When he is insulted, we respond with dignity, by quoting the Qur’ān, sharing his Sunnah, speaking about his noble character, or simply turning away from those who seek to provoke. This is the path of wisdom, restraint, and true love for the Messenger. As for their punishment, it is not for us to assume the role of divine judgment. Can any punishment we carry out equal the justice of Allah? Certainly not. Therefore, we entrust their affair to Allah, just as He dealt with those before them, while we remain steadfast upon truth, character, and patience.
