I have never been hacked, drained, or compromised. Yes, I have been the victim of some scammers — slightly. But that had nothing to do with my security practices but misplaced trust in so-called "friends." This thread is about security in Crypto because I have seen it repeatedly: fear and doubt about the most essential things. You need to know what is dangerous and what is not. So I will try to help you with that. First, let's talk about basic security on a computer.

In the end, 95% of people end with less than they started with. And 95% is an understatement. Do not become too greedy. I know it's not a popular view, but it's one you need to hear. Someone at my previous Web3 workplace once commented, "If Kate still has time to workout every day, she isn't working hard enough." Fast forward a year later, working >80+ hours a week—I realised he was right, I really could fit in so much more work without all my workouts. But also, my health deteriorated. My hormones are all over the place, fat percentage has DOUBLED, and my quality of sleep is just trash. Worth it? idk..
