The last political party that had 'anti-zionism' in their manifesto was the National Front they swapped out the word Jew for Zionist in the mid 1970s. The English Greens must be so proud of their final progression.

BMA staff have announced strike dates of 27-28 March and 6-7 April, the latter coinciding with the start of the resident doctors’ strike, after the BMA offered its own staff a 2.75% pay rise.
That’s lower than the 3.5% recommended for resident doctors, which the BMA itself described as a ‘crushing blow.’

Spot on. We’ve come to fetishise “local representatives” far too much, a symptom of our politics becoming smaller and more parochial. What we need is quality national politicians. If they have to be “parachuted” in, and they spend more time in SW1 than the constituency, so be it.

- Less disposable income bad for local economy. Pubs struggling and would love that money
- 9% makes it seem negligible, cumulatively some graduates are paying 51% marginal tax

It’s psychologically horrible to have such a debt. But it doesn’t matter. She’ll never pay off her loan. She’ll pay extra 9% income tax above Plan 2 threshold, £29,385 from April, which will mean less disposable income, but after 30 years, however massive, debt will disappear.
