@kirstyegraham There are some that are meant to go in front of your neck, so your chin can rest on them and your head is held up. Those are amazing, the others are meh and are better replaced with a rolled up jumper.

@ancopeeters "Back in the day", i.e. about 10-15 years ago, there were more messages by conductors directly.A lot of them were unintelligible. Either because of bad microphones picking up train noises or because of... strange regional dialects.

@TobiasSchlicht4 It is "fairy". The fair folk or the wee folk or whatever is not exclusively female - and it's not a direct equivalent to the German "Fee", but rather to "Elfe" and "Elf". German also knows "das Feenreich" having both female and male (and other) inhabitants.

Some sentences sound odd semantically:"The White House issued a statement concerning taxes and is being repainted."Is there any work on this kind of linguistic intuition? I find work on syntax (Chomsky etc.) We want to say that it is an expectation violation. is it controversial?
