Very few people per 100 actually earn a living from trading so why do people pursue it? I think people generally want to get rich quickly & think consistency is achievable by putting in effort without really knowing all that’s involved to attaining it. After all, you really only know what it takes once you’ve accomplished it for yourself & everyone has different hurdles/circumstances that affect their journey ie. Added preassure, dependants, support & commitments vary from one to another. Social media certainly portrays profitability as easier to achieve than it actually is but it’s not usually a level playing field amongst peers. Be careful comparing yourself to others. Maintaining consistency is easier when you don’t shoot for the Stars but rather aim for a healthy income. If I push outside my comfort zone, it can derail progress. Know your limitations & let the good times roll when the opportunities are abundant for your trading style. After 10 years of trading, I understand that the big months come from great market cycles which ebbs & flows. So when you’re feeling in the dumps because trading is not going exactly as planned, just remember it’s all part of the journey. The winners just never gave up.
