I agree that AI will replace editors, but Im hopeful there will be a grace period that lets us see the "end" coming, like what happened with thumbnail designers. Back in march GPT-4o image generation was released, and people started talking about the end of thumbnail designers, yet they still exist today. So, based on that, we will probably have at least 5 months where there is major progress toward an AI that can replace editors, but not fully

AI will absolutely replace video editing. Whoever says differently is delusional.
