Will write something more thoughtful for The Penitent Review (which is launching next week!) when I finish reading it.

I'm a quarter way through The Story of Art Without Men. I want it to be great, but so far, it just isn't. It's underpinned by a feminism that wants women to have more shows at Gagosian & sell for more £ at Sotheby's than a feminism that imagines a radically different artworld/s.

@jenandersson1 Couldn't agree more. In my PhD upgrade examination someone suggested I design a toolkit. I have now used large parts of my PhD to argue why I will certainly not, never, under no circumstances, design a toolkit. #illustrationresearch

The answer to everything is not 'toolkit'. It may be if you're unblocking a drain or building a garden shed. But for evoking a community of caring, an energy field that can work on long term change, designing regenerative places or economies? It's a practice not a toolkit.
