@meleesauce source: i was on the TO team for a few majors (also, ads and subs usually go to the broadcast team as an incentive for running the stream on top of what pay they get)

@meleesauce viewer subs/stream ads generally doesn't go to TO's and from the events perspective, the stream is just a part of marketing at most. entry fees and merch are what keeps events funded. from TOs perspective, stream is surprisingly inconsequential (unless you want big sponsor $$$)

i know melee has contracted heavily from the golden era but i feel like we’ve stabilized into a good spot with our events and there’s still a lot of fire people like to pocketwatch with the stream numbers and stuff but as long as there’s good melee none of that shit matters

@Radstads How do you feel about daily shorts of limited quality vs shorts every 2/3 days of high quality? I find I need a few days to make them as good as possible but wonder if you think hitting daily is just busted
