We've genuinely gone from a team that looked unstoppable, and could attract any player, to a team that is on the verge of bottling the lot and losing the likes of Rice, Saliba, Saka and Gabriel to winners. Madrid, Bayern, City, FCB, PSG... these clubs will come hunting if we win nothing.
I'm genuinely exhaughsted with this team playing like they forgot where the goal is. We've made ourselves too easy to beat, we're playing with fear and without freedom.
This team doesn't deserve to win anything if it doesn't wake up. The City game is the league. We either show that we can be champions, or we might as well pack it all up and go home.
@LukasYELL@NepentheZ but he’s not even our biggest problem. we simply lack the flair and creativity. no good attacking midfielders / left wingers to create chance after chance
@NepentheZ I don't believe he's the killer we need up front when things aren't going our way. He can run and work and throw his body around but it's just not enough in the crucial moments.
@LukasYELL He scored. He didn't miss an open goal, it was blocked as he took the shot so although it doesn't count as "on target" - it was going in if it wasn't blocked. You also ignored the other work he did in the game.
@NepentheZ He scored from the penalty spot, that's the very least he could do. One open goal chance, one free header and one shooting opportunity he created for himself at the top of the box. 0 on target. Not good enough.
@LukasYELL He scored today, and was generally good up top. He was a handful for defenders and a really good outlet from the long balls. He was unlucky to not score again, he was far from the worst player on the pitch today.
@chiddyafc That Cash goal Villa away made him completely lose faith in him. Part of his non-negotiables.
Cannot let a player get away and score like that, away to a top team.
@nonewthing I cannot see that happening. My prediction is that Gyokeres negotiations were utilised as an attempt to lower Sesko asking price. Arsenal won't pay Sesko fee. Isak main target next summer. Eze signed. Queue outrage by fanbase. Kai number 9.
I think Arsenal might sign Isak later on in the window.
There is some sense to it. Would be very expensive though. Liverpool’s aggression means they have confidence from his camp that this is the right window. Them getting Wirtz over Bayern probably cut their cost tolerance.
Here we go again !! The gift that keeps on giving 😀.
