All the brands we've done in the last year or so have been full of personality.
Sparkles, fun hand drawn shaped characters.
Databuddy, a cute little bunny.
Some of the brands that we can't share yet range from organic sci-fi vibes to pixelated textures like VHS tapes from the 80's.
Design is at its best when its fun and exploratory, minimalism has it's place but there's nothing wrong with adding personality into tech branding.
Wild branding is on the rise again, we're healing folks.

@arynadesigns Gonna need your review if upgrading from the 3 is worth it

I use them exclusively as in my experience clients tend to digest it easier.
I use moodboards more for myself to “see” but it might still be too abstract for a non-design eyed client. So I normally do either 1 (if I’m 100% sure), or 3 stylescapes.
Happy to share somenof mine in DMs - not allowed to share it publicly yet 😅

I never moodboard in one sitting.
Ideas can change depending on mindset, mood, environment etc.
Some of the best directions have come from coming back to it fresh the next day.
This way I've got a range that represents the brief from all angles not just whatever I was feeling that one afternoon.

@LukeADesign Same here - it takes a couple days for me to get tight with coherency. Too wide first day or two.
Curious - have you tried stylescapes? If yeah, is there a specific reason you prefer moodboards?

@LukeADesign I think there’s a poem about this:
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I inverted my logo properly,
And that has made all the difference.”

@LukeADesign small details make huge difference. love the mark. Draplin vibes 🔥
