Leaving space for the animator to figure out can often make both jobs easier. It distributes the creativity and problem solving through out production

I have said this over and over and over again. This bill benefits no one. The touted problems are not the problems supporters have been lamenting. This bill solves nothing and is likely to only make things worse.

latimes.com/entertainment-… From what my friends told me while I was in LA, the whole industry was looking pretty grim and I think it's starting to hit Vancouver (Somewhat delayed since we usually do the later stages of the production, such as animation vs storyboarding)

Animation has a huge problem with “cool” shows involving popular IPs at trendy studios treating their staff like absolute garbage, because they’re banking on you feeling so privileged to work there that you’re willing to let them juice you until there’s nothing left

@aalong64 @edentimm I agreee, that studio worship is unhelpful. But I’ve also been thinking that animation is so collaborative that the organizations and institutions do matter. Probably more than we’d like.

Studio worship is weird to me because they're literally just collections of whoever's currently there. There's no inherent magic or legacy beyond the people on the payroll. The place that made your favourite show years ago could be totally different now because of staff turnover.
