@jamesrogersie I understand that, them clubs could easily offer local schools/clubs discounted tickets to make up the difference so at least the loss isn’t as big. They would also save money on security as surely they wouldn’t need a fraction of what they would normally have for away fans.

Their next two away games are Sligo Rovers and Shamrock Rovers... I don't think either club is selling out their entire grounds so whatever amount was going to attend is now almost certainly depleted. Bohs/Pat's the two after that might have a better prospect of a 100% home sell out but most clubs rely on away crowds to boost match day revenue.

Other clubs get punished financially for Drogheda's misbehaviour... A fine of €15,000; A ban on Drogheda United FC supporters attending the Club’s next four away fixtures; and A ban on Drogheda United FC supporters attending all fixtures at Oriel Park for the remainder of the 2026 season.

@SmallerFishGAA Happening in club games all over the country who haven’t even the benefit of a linesman or an umpire. They’re making it out that the football is “much better” and it may be slightly at county level but every club game will suffer from sub-standard refereeing.

@CianBrady7 @LouthProud @SmallerFishGAA Yeah, so refs can basically make up any new rules they want and get away with it and nothing will be done about it… 🤷🏼‍♂️ It would honestly put you off playing anymore. Nobody there to hold them accountable and no doubt every club at some stage will be shafted this season.

First league game playing the new gaa rules last night and it’s fair to say even the ref wasn’t up to speed with them. But I have a question, can a ref give a 21m free for a spectator shouting on from the sideline? @LouthProud @SmallerFishGAA

So I can get up at 6.30am Monday to Friday. Get two grumpy kids out of bed. Feed them dress them and make Lunch. Then feed the dogs get myself dressed and get them to two schools before 9am then Rush to work. Do 10 hour shift. And repeat again and the lazy prick down the street

Stupid fucking rule, most refs already dictate games with shocking decisions and this will make it 100 times worse in club football 🤷🏼‍♂️
