@CubsZone Sucks that he got hurt but I’m still glad he participated in the WBC, getting to represent your country on the world stage is one of the greatest achievements any athlete can have. The WBC is easily some of the best baseball I’ve ever seen and I hope it continues to grow.

@keewa I’m sure that report was done, but it’s possible the engineer in charge of it made a mistake at some point in their calculations or didn’t consider a certain scenario. The failure doesn’t have anything to do with the engineers being Chinese

@keewa I’m not one of those weirdos who thinks everything China builds is as strong as a price of paper, but there is a good chance this was due to an engineering failure. A geotechnical report should have been done of the surrounding area which would have indicated landslide risk.

@JAYChi_Bears Moody has also had accuracy issues but he looked good while filling in and at least in theory has a longer leg. Even if he doesn’t perform well I don’t think we would be losing much over Santos.

@MrTigerCub @SamOlbur High caliber left fielders only stay there if the team has an even better center fielder, otherwise they get moved. Cubs have had pretty good center fielders leaving Happ in left. He’s a good defender at a position of mostly mid defenders, which lets him dominate gold glove.
