New @FAO report is out and the results are heartbreaking. 🌍 Africa in 2024 • 1 in 5 people were undernourished • 59% of people faced moderate or severe food insecurity • 1 in 3 children under 5 experienced stunting I’m ready to get to work. Together we can feed the world

I am so proud of the nomination of @USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs, Luke Lindberg, to serve as the next Executive Director of @WFP!🌏🇺🇸💪 As Under Secretary, Luke has done an outstanding job helping lower America’s agricultural trade deficit by $14.7 billion, leading trade missions around the globe on behalf of agricultural producers, and re-emphasized the role of the American farmer in international food assistance. In FY2025, USDA purchased and shipped 492,701 metric tons (MT) of U.S.-grown commodities, valued at $175 million, to 38 countries for McGovern-Dole and Food for Progress. Already in 2026, USDA has committed to purchasing at least 211,000 MT of U.S.-grown commodities, valued at $232 million to 7 countries for Food for Peace. I have seen firsthand his operational excellence, relentless focus on delivering real results, and ironclad commitment to accountability.
