I met a very cool young gent at the tables at the Venetian earlier this summer. Loved the way he played, loved his infectious happiness, loved the attitude he brought to the poker table - a strategy game to be enjoyed and not taken too seriously. We had a lovely chat for the

Also can I just say: I've played extensively with all of the other 8 players at this ft over the last week. I'm certainly going to try my best to come out on top, but my goodness will I be happy for whoever wins. It's just a tremendous group of people who have been nothing but kind and supportive of one another through all the ups, downs, stress, and tension of this tournament. While there were many great players whom I would have loved to have here that fell short of the ft, I couldn't be happier to share this experience with this group of 9

Thank you so much to everyone for all the support over the last few days. I've had so many people reach out and wish me good luck. It's truly heartwarming knowing there are so many people across the world rooting for me. I've tried my best to thank and respond to each and every person, apologies if I missed anyone. Should be a fun final table, I can't wait!

It always amazes me how people only see the $10 million and think: “Wow, he will never have this opportunity again.” Maybe. But you have to look at the next 30–40 years, not just one hand. Winning $10 million creates challenges most people are not prepared for. Ego. Complacency. Taking success for granted. Many players have had one massive score and lost millions in the years after. A brutal knockout like this can also become one of the most valuable lessons of your career. You learn how unforgiving poker can be. The next time you have a huge stack, you remember what happened. You stay more focused, punt less often and protect your opportunities better. That lesson could generate far more than $10 million over an entire career. Maybe he wins $1 million next year. Then $2 million the year after and so on... Maybe this becomes the fuel that turns him into an absolute dominant force for years. I am not saying losing is better than winning. I am saying both outcomes come with different battles. The weak mentality spends years blaming the bad beat: “If I had won that hand or tournament, my entire life would be different.” Of course, a winner will also feel broken and frustrated for a while. But eventually, he understands that it was another knockout. Painful, brutal, but also motivation to work harder and get back there. When I bubbled the final table of the WSOP Online Main Event in 2023, I was devastated. But I told myself: “One day, I will get there.” The next year, I made the final table and finished 8th. Again, I told myself I would work my ass off and come back stronger. Again so close to win 3-4mio, which is insane for online Poker. The year after, 2025, I won it. Success after hardship often has a better chance of lasting (that's why lottery winners lose it often very quickly) You appreciate it more. You protect it harder. And you become much better at controlling the voice inside your head telling you how amazing you are. He should not be happy about what happened. But there is meaning in these moments. And very often we don't see the them right away. That's a moment where many will break. And dwell in blame and resentment. Or long lasting champions are born. I got plenty of DMs of people "If I would have won this Tournaments years ago.. I would have ..." Those people made their choice. Staying in the weak, loser mentality. You either dwell on them, blame everyone and stay resentful for ever. Always blaming your circumstances. Or you use them as fuel to improve and try again and ultimately build a consistent long lasting career and making shit ton of money. Stay strong.
bencb@bencb789

Brutal. But it can be one of the most valuable moments for his career.

@Garrrry23 @Ray_Henson I might be sharper than I seem too… also doubling Malcom isn’t as bad as it seems and as far as folding the A8o and QJo I had my reasons hope you have a good night

@Ray_Henson Don’t think he’s at the level to truly understand the ICM spot. He should have open shoved or raised several hands where they were 10 handed, but he just folded.

@platopoker @PatrickWhatUp_ Truly don’t think my hand wants to bluff river with no club in hand and think I might want to bluff a J instead blocking to two pairs a little bit better but what do I know have a great night!

@PatrickWhatUp_ A better player would have turned KK into a bluff and jam the river vs Deeb on a board where he knows KK is rarely good. Looks like he needs to get back in the lab and work more on his game. 🤣

“Let’s go dancin’ Will.” - Lucas Jumalon to Will Givens as Givens defends his BB with A9o vs Jumalon’s A5o button open. The flop came KQ8 and the 22-year-old Jumalon’s c-bet took it down. Adorable to see Jumalon say he thinks there aren’t many players better than him in this field and that he’s “put in a lot of work [and] put in a lot of time.” at age 22. The fact that he thinks that though, bodes well for his chances in this tournament. Gotta believe that even if it might not be true.
