@AirbnbHelp I am checking into an Airbnb tonight. My host has provided me an address that is over two miles from the address on the listing. Who do I speak to about getting rebooked at a proper listing?

Interesting new scam they're running at knights games. My wife has about as small a purse as a woman can functionally use, but it's bigger than the postcard size layout they have. No worries though there is a company renting lockers for $25 until the game ends

Exactly two years ago, the University of Ottawa suspended me from my medical residency training in public health because of social media posts in support of Palestinian human rights. They framed my social media posts as “unprofessional”. The irony being that I studied the impacts of settler colonialism on health in Palestine during my public health training. They messed with the wrong person. They later reinstated me, without any apology, so I left their racist institution to put my time and energy to places and people who actually deserve it. It’s been a year since I filed a human rights complaint against the university, and they continue to try to dismiss the case with frivolous motions with factual inaccuracies, but the court seems to acknowledge the value in hearing the case. It is blatant discrimination on basis of anti-Palestinian racism. I’m taking them (and the faculty member who doxxed me) to a provincial human rights tribunal to seek accountability and justice. To anyone else who is facing similar forms of repression for solidarity with Palestine - remember you are on the right side of history. To stand against genocide is the most decent and moral position to take. To oppose genocide as a healthcare worker is the most professional position to take. Keep your head held high. The institutions will come around when there is no political or economic cost to oppose genocide. Until then, we will keep persisting and pushing back against bullies and racist institutions. Free Palestine, from the river to the sea.

Don’t forget this. Don’t let any hasbara ever make you forget that the lDF raped a PaIestinian prisoner who was imprisoned without any charges. The woman who leaked the video was called a traitor and arrested. lsraelis marched in the streets to defend rape. The lDF rapists were celebrated in lsraeli society.

Let’s sit for a moment with how two of the biggest stories out of Israel right now (aside from the continued bombardment of Gaza) are about protecting soldiers that oversaw the rape and torture of a Palestinian hostage and Israeli citizens gouging the eyes out of lambs and killing them because they belonged to a Palestinian.
Haaretz.com@haaretzcom

Security footage shows nine masked Israeli settlers torturing lambs in a Palestinian pen in the southern West Bank, killing six and severely injuring four others haaretz.com/israel-news/20…

During the bombing of Gaza City, a young man named Hamed Ashour found a German Shepherd that had been separated from its owners due to the heavy shelling. Hamed took the dog to his tent and cared for it so devotedly that he even shared his food with it. International organizations sympathized with his story and asked him to film the tent and the living conditions he and the dog were enduring so he did. The footage moved many, including an Irish organization that was deeply affected and demanded a safe transfer for the dog, claiming that the tent where it lived was unfit for habitation and unsuitable for its environment. Indeed, the dog was evacuated to Ireland while Hamed was left behind in the same tent deemed unfit even for the dog. There’s a saying by Martin Luther King: “The problem is not with the cruelty of the world, but with the silence of humanity.”

Obama trying to do to Zohran what the zionist lobby and war machine did to him. Obama knew of, and understood the evils of the Zionist colonial project— yet still sold out to AIPAC and the imperial apparatus to secure his career aspirations. Remember these photos of Obama at a Palestinian community dinner in Chicago seated at a table with Edward Said, Ali Abunimah and Rashid Khalidi? Ali and Rashid have attested to how Obama used to always attend events in their community as a local leader, before eventually betraying them. In 1999, Abunimah introduced him at a fundraiser for a community center in Deheisha refugee camp in the West Bank. Imagine that. He used to be that comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinians. While teaching at the University of Chicago, Khalidi lived in Hyde Park close to the Obamas. They became close friends and would have dinner together; they even held a fundraiser for Obama.

.@BarackObama is a blood-soaked war criminal, a psychopathic servant of billionaires who has remained silent throughout two years of Zionist holocaust in Gaza. Nothing good can come from him.

NYT's “Screams Without Words”, which tried to make the case that "Hamas Weaponized Sexual Violence on Oct. 7", is IMO the worst piece of American journalism in the 21st century. A hoax from start to finish. Everything @gettleman wrote was based on fraud. He exploited a dead Israeli woman and her family to falsely portray her as a sexual violence victim. He used qualified language ("believe" "appear") to lodge evidence-free allegations. He relied on discredited sources who made demonstrably false claims. He enlisted an Israeli stringer who was an open cheerleader for genocide. He exploited the sensitivities around sexual violence allegations and the inclination to believe them. All in the service of helping Israel portray Palestinians as savages who deserved to be mass murdered. In an honest media system, the NYT's refusal to retract this fraudulent story would be a permanent scandal.
Mohammed El-Kurd@m7mdkurd

NEW: 300+ writers, scholars and public figures – including almost 150 past New York Times contributors – have committed to refusing to write for the paper’s Opinion section until our the paper 1) addresses it's anti-Palestinian bias, 2) retracts the widely debunked investigation “Screams Without Words.” and 3) and calls for a U.S. arms embargo of Israel. The Opinion section is where the paper creates plausible deniability for its anti-Arab racism and its complicity in genocide. And while they treat the lies of the Israeli government as fact in their News section, they render the genocide debatable and relegate it to the Opinion page. But the section is nothing without the freelance contributors who write for it--and they are choosing integrity over prestige.

This is one of the worst articles I can ever remember reading, so I wouldn't really recommend it per se, but I'll be thinking for quite a while about LA disbanding its human trafficking division in 2021 due to budget cuts with the result that there's now an area of LA known as the kiddie stroll. This country is broken in so many ways it's hard to keep them all straight
Frank Luntz@FrankLuntz

This story is about a 3-mile stretch of LA known as “kiddie stroll” due to its open trafficking of child prostitutes. Budget cuts have left LAPD short-handed to combat it. This is something that the National Guard could be called in for, @GavinNewsom. nytimes.com/2025/10/26/mag…

A well written essay worth some thought. I've been low key horrified to see David Remnick turn my favorite journalistic outlet into just another israeli-captured rag and it's cool to see someone in the industry so unafraid of his power as to call out his garbage
Will 🦥 Menaker@willmenaker

I highly recommend this essay by Ismail Ibrahim, a former fact-checker at The New Yorker about what it's like to work at a place like that when you have a brain or a conscience. bidoun.org/articles/house…

Someone needs to make an updated racial draft skit about the left and the right trading issues. "With the first pick of the draft the left chooses equal rights for the lgtbq community" *Cut to the right delegation celebrating furiously* (Hurriedly)"The right chooses cancel culture!" *They high five and celebrate* The second round is just an argument about who hates Israel more Etc etc cc @DaveChappelle

Yep. Can anyone explain to me how every Jew doesn't have this obligation?
Pop Base@PopBase

Hannah Einbeinder on saying “Free Palestine” during her #Emmys acceptance speech: “It is my obligation as a Jewish person to distinguish Jews from the state of Israel because our religion and our culture is such an important and long-standing institution that is really separate to this sort of ethnonationalist state.”
