🚨🚨 | 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Newcastle are actively PUSHING for Manuel Ugarte, with Man United valuing the midfielder at €40M.

🤔 Newcastle United are approaching a crossroads this summer that could define the post-takeover era. After a period of transition and boardroom reshuffling, Eddie Howe has reportedly laid down a firm demand to the club's hierarchy: provide the full backing for a massive squad rebuild or risk the entire project grinding to a halt, according to Graeme Bailey.
Unlike the chaotic scramble of last summer—where Eddie Howe was forced to juggle scouting with negotiations in the absence of a sporting director—we now have a streamlined structure. Ross Wilson is firmly in the hot seat as Director of Football, and the suggestion is that he and Eddie are fully aligned on the blueprint for the upcoming window.
While reinforcements are being scouted across the pitch, the directive from the top is clear. A new elite centre-forward is the top priority for the club. Newcastle have struggled to find consistent, world-class output since the departure of Isak, and while Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade were brought in to plug the gap, Eddie Howe is determined to secure a marquee striker who can lead the line and return the club to the Champions League conversation.
Beyond the frontline, the recruitment team is tracking Monaco’s Lamine Camara as a primary midfield target. The scope of the rebuild is significant, with Howe also eyeing fresh talent for the backline and a new face to challenge for the starting goalkeeper spot.
The reason for such a drastic rebuild stems from the looming threat of major exits. St James’ Park is bracing for a potential drain of talent as several key stars attract interest from Europe’s so-called elite.
🇮🇹 Sandro Tonali’s camp is reportedly exploring a move away, with Real Madrid and Manchester City mooted as destinations, though his £80m valuation makes a preferred return to Serie A difficult.
🏴 Tino Livramento has also done little to suggest a contract extension is imminent, leaving Manchester City and Arsenal circling the 23-year-old defender.
🏴 Furthermore, Anthony Gordon remains linked with a move to the Emirates, while Bruno Guimarães continues to attract admirers from across the continent 🇧🇷
Eddie Howe isn't just asking for players; he's asking for a statement of intent. With Isak gone and the foundation of the squad being tested by rival bids, this summer represents the first real opportunity for Ross Wilson and Eddie Howe to work in tandem from the outset. Eddie’s commitment to the club remains genuine, but he knows that to compete at the very top of English football, the recruitment must be flawless.
What do you think? Who should be our primary striker target this summer? 🎯

@The_Forty_Four Fair fucks lads, keep the faith, one day you’ll have it all back how you want it
English

Thank you, Tripps 🖤🤍
After four and a half years of incredible service to Newcastle United, we can confirm that Kieran Trippier will leave the club this summer when his contract expires.
Kieran arrived in January 2022 with the club in the relegation zone and played a crucial role as he went on to lift the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years.
English

@FabrizioRomano If he just shut the fuck up and got on with it for once it wouldn’t be anywhere near as bad. Unbearable bloke.
English

@UnitedStandMUFC @JacobsBen Ole speccy jacobs backtracking on his bullshit again, will say anything for clicks, reality is he hasn’t got a clue or doesn’t really care
English

🗣️ @JacobsBen: "Elliot Anderson is the number one target for Manchester United. I am not aware that United are poised to make a bid for Sandro Tonali.
Even if Newcastle didn't sell anyone other than Tonali, he will still be incredibly expensive, in excess of £100m. Plan A is Elliot Anderson." [@UnitedStandMUFC] #mufc

@CraigHope_DM Always got a forward to single out haven’t you. Do you even enjoy football?
English

Cole Palmer has lost the ball 10 times so far (8 passes, 2 dribbles), more than any player on the pitch.
What has happened to the player we thought England could build around?
Craig Hope@CraigHope_DM
Japan do what England cannot... attack with pace & incision. Palmer mistake leads to Mitoma goal. 0-1. If this is how slow England play in 12C, I can't wait for the energy of 32C.

Manchester United ideal Summer transfer 2026 :
To compete, avoid injury downgrades [e.g., Zirkzee sub par, Shaw unreliable, Sesko vital vs low blocks].
Targets
LB;
- Lewis Hall (£50M)
- Lewis Skelly (£5-10M)
CM:
- Tonali(£80M)
- Elliot Anderson (£45M-50M)
- Baleba (£70-80M)
LW;
- Diomande (£50M).
- Iliman Ndiaye (£30M-45M)
ST;
- Joao Felix
Financially, need owner bailout for £350-400M spend amid debt/stadium costs.

@LukeEdwardsTele So Newcastles top source @CraigHope_DM is lying then?
English

Newcastle United official has communicated to media tonight that there is no gentleman’s agreement Sandro Tonali can leave this summer if club do not qualify for Europe.
That does not mean he won’t leave but he hasn’t said he wants to go and neither has there been any contact with #nufc from interested clubs at this stage.
It’s only March but yet another week of stories linking Newcastle players with a move. Going to be a long summer 😬
English

@LukeEdwardsTele @NUFCThreatLevel Luke, we’ve been here before. Lets not do it again
English

@SkySports_Keith @NUFCThreatLevel Funny how this is all out now aint it 😂

🚨 Newcastle are set to target a striker this summer — despite spending £125m on Nick Woltemade & Yoane Wissa last summer.
🔄 A summer of change is expected with as many as 8 changes to the squad possible.
🧤 A new goalkeeper will also be targeted by Eddie Howe & Ross Wilson, who will be given the opportunity to put right the mistakes of last summer’s transfer window.

@MattW36565526 @RichySouthern My weekend is ruined but this has made me feel better
English

@LukeEdwardsTele Nobodys arsed what you think, ask the questions the fans want to hear and leave your opinions at the door
English

I’m going to say it now so we are all clear. I’m not calling for Eddie Howe to be sacked because he remains the best manager for the job and has over achieved for four years. My view hasn’t changed on that.
Yes this is difficult and he’s under huge pressure now but he deserves a chance to rebuild the team in the summer and go again. And I’m very confident he will bring more success in the future.
Thanks for your time. Nobody will get me to change my mind. #nufc
English

@kendallrowanx Will always love him for what’s he’s done. But hes took us as far as he can and achieved everything he set out to do! Wish him well but it’s time
English

I think it’s his time now especially after today but it will devastate me for him to go, especially like this. I respect the man he is immensely.

Eddie Howe on today's game at St. James' Park 🎙️
English

@LukeNUFC1993 Hope has done a U turn and won't criticise Howe over anything now and Luke Edwards won't rock the boat or question anything either. Press privileges would be at risk.
English

@Magpie24_7 It’s not as talented as we think, othet than Bruno and Hall we are a mess, declining players, poor tactics and players who look to have downed tools.
4 years into this project we shouldn’t be playing or still own about 60% of the squad.
Complete joke
English

Another massive letdown. 📉
How can a squad this talented be so far off the levels this fanbase reaches every single week? That pre-match display was tremendous—a literal sea of noise, black, and white that should have electrified anyone wearing the shirt.
Instead, we got a whimper. Coming off a resounding thumping at Barcelona, you’d expect a reaction. You’d expect the players to fight to pay back that loyalty.
Instead, they couldn't even get up for it.
The fans did their bit. The players and management let us down today. Plain and simple.
