Highlights brought to you by Rozzi Fireworks. To make it 2 straight games to end in 5 innings, and a combined +28 run differential, Moeller defeated CHCA 19-4 Friday evening. The Moeller offense registered 9 hits, and stayed patient at the plate, drawing 15 walks as every single Crusader starter and 16/17 that came to the plate got on base. @LukePappano was the only Crusader to record multiple hits, going 2-3 with 4 RBIs and a double. @Carter_c05 recorded the other extra base hit for the Crusaders, going 1-2 with 3 RBIs and a triple, his 6th of the year which leads the GCL. In the mound @Connor_Fuhrer got the start, going 4 innings, only walking 1 and striking out 3. @LukePappano closed it out in the 5th, going the final inning.

Moeller battled in a tight game vs Butler Saturday night, where the Crusaders came on top 4-2. @JovanLove25 had a game, going 2-2 with an RBI, and his 4th homer of the year. @ConnerCuozzo had the other extra base hit for the Crusaders, a double, going 1-3. @Carter_c05 was the only Crusader with multiple RBIs, as he had 2 going 1-2. On the mound, @LukePappano went 6 innings, in that affair he only walked 2 and stuck out 7. @jakegaerke got the save, as he only needed 9 pitches to make the Aviators go out 1-2-3 in the 7th, striking out 1 in the process.

Moeller had a dominant win Wednesday night, an 8-2 win over Dixie Heights. 7 different Crusaders registered hits. @cooperridley13 (2 RBIs) hit his third homer of the year. @LukePappano and @porta_jackson (1 RBI) both hit a double on the day. @mattponatoski also had 2 RBIs on the day with a single. @Connor_Fuhrer had a complete game, striking out 7 in his 7 innings.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: @LukePappano This is Luke’s 3rd year on varsity where he has been a dominant two way force. Luke has an incredible 1.382 ERA in his 11 appearances on the mound, a 9-0 record, and has hit 0.384 across 151 AB’s. This includes hitting 0.431 this season, which is 2nd in the GCL. Luke is currently uncommitted. Congrats Luke!
