At Lewisham’s Full Council last Wednesday, I seconded @OanaOlaru92’s motion denouncing the Conservatives’ changes to the family visa route. This felt personal: my wife & I have seen on the inside how expensive & contrived the process already is. See below for more👇

This isn’t true, Liam. The motion marks the extension of childcare to 500,000 more of the most disadvantaged children who fell through the cracks, including 4500 in Lewisham. For the record I stand by Labour’s stance that the benefit cap needs to go as soon as we can afford it.
