Axel Rudakubana has been moved from prison to a psychiatric hospital where he will be treated as a patient, not a prisoner.
During the trial, his own defence lawyer did not submit a psychiatric report.
This outrageous decision must be reversed.

Something has gone very wrong in the UK justice is not being served whether it is violent criminals released from prison early or monsters like Calocone & Rudukabana treated as patients rather than murderers. First duty of any Government keeping its citizens safe & ensuring we live in a safe society.

Keeping the public safe will always be my top priority. I have instructed my team to put a pause on the sentencing changes that were due to start in September. No prisoners will be let out under this policy until we have conducted an urgent review and done everything we can to minimise risk to the public. Where changes are needed, I will not hesitate to make them.
