@DanHarmone It is OBJECTIVELY nerfed, avatar state aang was dog walking the strongest fire bender boosted by sozin comet, korra was more than once losing with it. While in avatar state you have all the knowledge of other avatars, she should be able to magma bend, use sismic sense and others

As i keep saying. If the Avatar State feels different, that’s intentional, not a downgrade. In Aang’s era, it looks terrifying because he can’t control it 💀 It’s a last-resort survival mechanism that overrides him, which is why it feels explosive and chaotic. By Korra’s time, the point is that she learns control earlier, so it’s used deliberately instead of erupting. That doesn’t make it child’s play, it just means it’s not randomly nuking everything around her. Controlled power will always look less dramatic than uncontrolled power. Thats just presentation. And the show goes out of its way to prove it’s not a free win anyway. She gets neutralized by Amon, matched by Unalaq, broken by Zaheer, and pushed by Kuvira. If it was really child’s play, those fights wouldn’t even exist. Also funny bringing up the upcoming Aang era stuff like it proves anything, if anything, that just reinforces that different Avatars use the same power differently depending on their journey. That’s been the point since day one. People just seem to miss this

@Distrik_14 @DanHarmone She put up a good fight vs the dark avatar right after she literally was just fighting vaatu. Unalaq also had a stronger A.S via prime vaatu who was > raava. Also having 1 element means nothing he used it like the other elements + aang w/ 4 was losing to ozai w/ 1, Same w/ azula

@Distrik_14 @DanHarmone Ozai is a threat to normal benders/half trained avatars. The moment it goes to Fully trained Avatars & the avatar state he’s basically child’s play. Even w/ a comet amp he was no match for the A.S

@LulCruddy @DanHarmone Korra was losing to normal ass benders, with no boosts, and they weren't even the bests at their respective bending zaheen was a fooder that got bending some days ago, you have to watch the show eyes closed to think ozai wasn't a threat

@SymplyTonbra I got mako winning high diff, not only can he do majority of evert fire bending move zuko can do, he can also generate/redirect lightning & to an arguably greater extent for the redirection. Can control its damage potency like azula did & beat ming hua who zuko stated is top tier

@SymplyTonbra Zuko has more skill than Mako, as he lived through a war which forced everyone to improve, where as Mako is a street rat who became an athlete and eventually a cop, (ineffective at both jobs btw).

@TheNihilityX @naMnaSYt The only time any of them only use modern style fighting completely is in pro bending. Outside of that they simply mix the styles together to become a better fighter & this was being done even in TLA. Zuko did it, iroh did it, katara did it etc. it started back then

The only traditional bending that focuses on punching and kicking is Fire. And even then it‘s not the same for every bender and the do more than just kick boxing. Hell in the Earth Bending Tournament we already see more different styles of Earth bending than in the entire show of Korra.

Korra has been following probending all her life but she doesnt know the rules she also has definitely been trained for longer than any of the probenders, so why is she so ass

Korra mixes both styles, which is what she should do. Tenzin, Su, Lin, korra, Mako, bolin, unalaq etc all used traditional, but mixed it
