@ocornut I just shipped a fix for this. The results on github.com/ocornut/imgui/… look like I would expect them but could you please double check if this is working for you as well! Thanks again for reaching out 🙇‍♂️

@Lumaxis Hello Lukas. Not sure if that's within your reach, but FYI the visible status of sort settings (right side) doesn't match actual results (presumably because you switched to a new thing by default). Once you click on any of Sort By / Order they do match.

@ocornut Hm, in this view, the default sorting should not have changed. My first instinct is that this is an issue where PRs are sorted at the top and the issues below by creation date but we'll take a look. Thanks for reaching out!

It's confusing because the default sorting/order changed but that's not initially visible, could be a frontend/UI bug. As a Maintainer, I would MUCH rather have Newest be the default, but I understand that Users in search for info may not. Ideally allow to choose that default.

@nickcis @jaredpalmer @github Sounds like a great idea. I've been sharing a few details in replies here but I'll pitch making a blogpost about this at some point to the team

@jaredpalmer @github Will there be any public information about this implementation?, What embeddings / chunking models worked better?, etc

@jaredpalmer @github Curious, are you embedding the issues or using multiple queries (a la Fusion), or both? I'm asking because we need something similar for SDLC knowledge items

@jaredpalmer @github I can't ever find any issue with the search by, even using exact words present on it. You're telling me that issue search will start working now?

We’ve been working on enabling semantic search for all of GitHub Issues for a long time and put a lot of effort into making it work well. So much good stuff happening!
Jared Palmer@jaredpalmer

We just shipped semantic search for @GitHub Issues along with some solid performance improvements. We went from only 2% of requests returning in under 200ms to ~35%. Still a lot of work to do, but we’re working hard everyday on making core GitHub faster. Video below is of before and after comparison

@ocornut @github Apologies! 🙇 This was an accidental regression in our UI when we removed a feature flag. These limits used to exist but were removed when we transitioned to the new version of the Issues UI. I’m deploying a fix now, I’ll let you know when it’s out.

Was eager to start my week before I realized that @github now refuses to let me see all issues on my own repository??!! It's unacceptable and very stressful. My issues are carefully labelled, but not all interactions are based on label/keyword searches. Let me see my Issues.

@MattButler138 @ocornut @github The fix for this has been deployed now, you should be able to page through all your issues. Sorry again! x.com/Lumaxis/status…

@ocornut @github This actually looks like more a recent regression, we did have this limit in place for a while but were able to remove it. We are figuring out why it is back...

@DylanMcD8 @sdw I believe this in Yosemite Valley and warns people that try to go to Glacier Point. Sometimes, navigation apps send you to a trailhead at the bottom of the mountain instead of the viewpoint at the top 😅

I am looking for a climbing enthusiastic iOS dev to maintain + improve @redpoint_app! Since one sec is going so well it became my main job and I dont have the time to focus on Redpoint. DM me apps you have worked on + your climbing grade ;) (paid ofc, by hour or project)

Looks like I'm going to be in SF for @githubuniverse in 2 weeks. Who will I be seeing there? Let me know if you want to meet up and talk about Codespaces or just catch up.

@kaleidoscopeapp I’m trying to use Kaleidoscope to compare many files in various subfolders of the same root folder. Is there a way for me to tell the app to always ignore timestamps as that seems to be the main difference across files. Also, I’d love a flat view of all files 🙏🏼
